The hotel was good with minor things to be improved on. The staff should try to be more accomodating whenever guests are around so they can ask for help easily. They have no restaurant for guests for lunch or dinner. I have tried the balcony but the table and chairs were dusty. The rest were just okay because they have a gym, a pool and breakfast.

The room size is quite small, suitable for a solo traveler or a stay of no more than two nights. The walls are thin, so you can hear people walking and talking outside. The breakfast is tasty but lacks variety.
The location is convenient, as it is close to a shopping mall. However, the elevator service is insufficient for the number of guests. Many Chinese tourists staying at the hotel showed poor etiquette, smoking in non-smoking areas and causing the entire hotel to smell unpleasant. On the other hand, some guests were polite and respectful, adhering to universal manners.
The reception staff provided good service, which was a positive highlight of the stay.

¡Realmente disfrutamos nuestra estadía en este hotel! Está en el centro de la ciudad de Vientiane y a pocos pasos del bullicioso mercado nocturno. Alquilan motos y bicicletas en el hotel, lo cual es muy conveniente. Nos alojamos en el segundo piso cerca de la piscina y fue simplemente perfecto. Nuestra habitación daba al hermoso patio donde se sirve el desayuno todas las mañanas. Todas las mañanas había arroz frito, pan, salchichas y gachas de arroz. A veces también nos pedían fideos fritos y otras veces un guiso con carne y patatas. Hay zumos y café además de una barra de huevos donde preparan revueltos, fritos o tortillas al momento. Nos encantó pasar la mañana en el patio comiendo, relajándonos y trabajando. La piscina estaba bien. Es bueno tenerlo, pero el agua es un poco asquerosa. Puedes ver los insectos muertos flotando y cuando entras al agua, el agua está un poco turbia. O su filtro es viejo o no hay suficiente cloro. De la semana que estuvimos allí, solo nadamos dos veces. Las habitaciones eran hechas todos los días por las amables amas de llaves. Incluso cambiaron nuestras sábanas aunque no se lo pedimos. Hay sandalias para usar, aire acondicionado frío y agua de cortesía todos los días. ¡Realmente disfrutamos nuestra estadía en este hotel! Si volvemos a visitar Vientiane, ¡nos quedaremos aquí!

ゲゲッツーロボHotel muy bonito. Una pequeña piscina, una bonita habitación, pero sobre todo un personal MUY amable y agradable. ¡Nunca conocí a un personal de hotel tan bueno! ¡La gente es tan amable y amigable! Lo único que se puede desear es que aquí hay demasiados mosquitos, a mí me picaron 10 veces. Nota: cuesta entre 40 y 70 dólares estadounidenses en el lugar, por lo que a veces es más barato que en línea.

UUsuario invitadoI arrived Vientiane by train. There were two buses picking up passengers opposite the front of the station. One was a minibus going to the night market (30k kips) and the other was a public bus going to Vientiane Central Bus Station (25k kips). The minbus going to the night market was full so I took the one going to the Central Bus Station. On checking Google maps, the one going to the night market is the correct transportation to take.
It was close to 9pm when I arrived at the bus station. Note that the reception closes at 10pm. I took a tuk tuk at 50k kips (bargained from 100 kips). The fare was 30k kips when I took a car from the hostel back to the Bus Station to catch Bus 12 to Vientiane (Khamsavath) train station. Do note that this is a different train station from the station I'd arrived from. That station is used by the Laos-China train, while Khamsavath station is used by the Laos-Thai train.
The above described the location of the hostel in relation to the train stations and Central Bus Station.
As for the 3rd floor room (was it 2nd?? well, it was at the highest floor) that I was assigned, there is space enough for 6 beds (3 double deckers). My beddings were spotlessly clean. The aircon worked perfectly. The staff who had checked me in helped with my luggage, which was much appreciated. He pointed out to me the facilities too.
The bathroom cubicles and toilets are on the ground floor. They are clean. The bathroom cubicle i had used were without showergel/soap or shampoo. I did not check the other cubicles.
The common area is behind the reception on the groundfloor. It is air-conditioned and has comfortable seats. There is a water dispenser which dispenses cold water. Again, much appreciated.
In a folder on a desk opposite the reception desk contains information on transportation, fares and public bus schedules. Most useful!
The owner (i assumed he is) had kindly helped me call a car to the central station. He went out in the heat to look out for the car and bode me farewell. It is personal touches like this that warms the heart.
Yes, it is a hostel I would recommend. The 2 attached pictures were information displayed on the walls of the common area which i found useful.

A mere two-minute walk from the famous Vientiane night market, the hotel offered easy access to the city's bustling core. For those seeking iconic landmarks, the Hard Rock Cafe Vientiane was just a five-minute stroll away. This convenient location proved invaluable throughout my stay.
The staff at the Riverside Hotel truly deserve a special mention. Their genuine friendliness and helpfulness were a constant source of warmth during my visit. The family-run atmosphere added a personal touch, making me feel welcome and cared for. I was particularly impressed when they accommodated my early check-in at 8.30am (arriving from Bangkok) without hesitation – a huge relief after a long travel day. Thank you again, Riverside Hotel!
My room on the 6th floor offered a delightful surprise – a balcony with a view of the city. The room itself was clean, neat, and thoughtfully simple, perfectly suited to my needs. A personal highlight was the separate shower area in the bathroom – a detail that promotes hygiene and creates a more comfortable experience.
While the breakfast selection wasn't vast, it was well-maintained and offered a decent variety. The fresh fruits were a particular delight, and I would love to see more vegetarian options added in the future – a minor suggestion for improvement. Housekeeping did a fantastic job, changing towels daily and keeping the room clean and tidy throughout my stay.

Nothing much going on in the area but only 5-10mins walk you can find restaurants in the evening and walk to night market along the river
In room service food is great. They do have pool and gym and rooftop bar with happy hour option

日本人でも心配ないクラスのホテルです。
フランス時代のレトロホテルがあればーとレトロが好きなのでこちらを予約。かなり綺麗なのでフランス時代の建物ではないかもだけど、パトゥーサイの近くに泊まりたかったのも選んだ理由の一つです。フランス時代古いガチ系なら三千円台でもいいかなーと思ってましたが、下調べで物価も安いし治安もちょっと気をつけろレベルとのことでしたので、安すぎる宿はやばいかなと、少し高めのこちらに。
昼間は藤井聡太くん似の優しそうだけどテキパキしたスタッフが対応してくれました。
予約時のリクエストも確認済みで、少しパトゥーサイの見える上の方の3階？上から二番目でした。
シンク等はアメリカンなんちゃら〜のやつで、それ以外の設備も日本メーカーだったりで安心感がありました。
流しやシャワーの詰まりもなかった。
シンプルだけど朝食付きで6千円台なら文句なしな感じ。
ただ、私の出国が23時台だったので
チェックアウト後に荷物を預けて、可能であればスパか空き部屋のシャワーを借りたいと思ってました。
レイトチェックアウトが特典についてたので14時チェックアウトにして。
フロントの藤井聡太くん似の彼に朝食後に伝えると次のカスタマーがくるとのこと。
私はチェックアウトまで外出して戻って荷造りしてシャワーを浴びる予定でしたが、
14時前に次のカスタマーのスーツケースを私の部屋に置きにきました、、、
まさかそんなに早いとは思わず、、、
慌てて用意して14時頃に降りたけど次のカスタマーが彼に もぅ15分も待ってるんだぞ！前の客はどーなってんだ！的に詰め寄ってました汗
準備の遅い私も悪いと思いますが、他の部屋はガラ空きなのに
なんでわざわざ同じ部屋にしたんや、、、と思いました笑
コスト削減で稼働する部屋を決めてるのかもだけど。
掃除はきちんとしてる感じでしたし。
彼にお詫びのお菓子渡したけど苦笑いでした、、、
（因みに箱入りの千円以下のちょっとちゃんとしたやつ。でもホテル玄関のスタッフに抹茶のキットカットをお土産であげたんですが日本だと3、400円なのにラオスはショッピングモールで千円しててびっくりした）
荷物を預けてまた外出して、夜に戻ると別の30代から40代くらいの男性スタッフに変わってました。
藤井聡太くんがシャワーを借りるのにいくらか支払うと言ったらOKしてくれたのですが、金額がまだわからないとのことで、この人に聞いたら、この人もわからんとのこと。
でも藤井聡太くんが夜の人に聞いてってゆってたというと、夜のスタッフは50？といったように思ったので
その時私は5万キップ（500円弱）でいいのか！やす！と思いつつ、
空き部屋の2階の部屋に通してくれました。
シャワーを浴びてる最中、支払額のやり取りの際に
スタッフが （シャワーを使ったら）掃除をしないといけないから〜 と言ってたのでもしかして15やったんかな！？
私の勘違い！？
六千円以上するホテルなので2千円程シャワー代に残してて。やっぱり15万（千五百円ほど）かなと
15万渡すと多すぎ、とのこと。10万でも多いと。
5万でよかったみたい。お釣りないとのことでしたが、その人が探しに行ってる間に、わたしの手持ちにあったので五万キップでいけました。でも本当は15万のような気が、、、（私の英語力がそんなになのでいつもは電卓で確認して交渉してる）安くなったからいいけど。
で、タクシーも呼んでくれるとのことで
頼んで、少しチップを渡しました。
アプリ（安い）で呼んだっぽくて、いくらかゆわれたんですが、よく聞き取れなくて ？って顔してると100（10万キップ）でいいって言ってくれました。また結局安くなった感じ
このスタッフさんは普通にタクシーとかの人らと変わらん感じなのか、値切れてるっぽくてもやもやしました笑
まぁ安いのでいいんですが。
アプリなので普通のうーばー的な感じでしたが、支払いはドライバーに渡しました。スタッフさんが後でいくらかもらったのかは謎。
因みに空港からはタクシーの受付で130万ちょいだったので
帰りはそれより安いのは分かってましたかまだ100万キップならそこそこ安いのかなと言った感じ。アプリなら本当はもっと安いかもですが、、、
そこらへんはなんかモヤモヤしましたが、金額が知れてるのと
とりあえずちゃんと対応してくれたので良いです。
ホテルからの観光は、歩いて直ぐにパトゥーサイがあるのでそこでトゥクトゥクが拾えます。ただ、公園の手前でポツンと路上で休んでる人とか少し外れた場所の方がいいかも。公園の中のメイン的な人らはいくら？って聞いたらかなりぼったくり価格だったので交渉すらする気にならなかった。（数百円の距離を千円以上でゆってくる）
あと備品は水、シャンプー、ボディーソープはOKなレベル。普段シャンプー類は持参のものを使うのですが手洗い石鹸は今回使わせてもらったら、あまり泡立たなかったので参考までに。
ベットは結構高さがあるので背の低い人や車椅子の人は乗るのが大変かも。椅子も高かったような、、、
バルコニーは素敵だった！

NNolliganLocals refer to this hotel as ‘the Chinese hotel’, and it is very Chinese. The reception staff don’t speak English but are fluent in Chinese. Room deposits can be paid in RMB. The Buffett breakfast is excellent, the pool are other facilities are good too. The rooms are clean (see photos). Conveniently located for the airport, local area is okay but not brilliant.

UUsuario invitadoHotel staff and owner are friendly especially the staff even though they have difficulties to communicate they try to make you feel comfortable. Help to carry your luggage upstairs. Location near the Food Market and Night Market. Walking distance 12 minutes to near Talat Mall which sell alot of merchandise worth the visit. Food Market have varieties of food but hardly places to sit and eat. The night market does not have food stall those want to visit make sure fill up the tummy.

SSusan Chong SCEl hotel tiene un nombre diferente al que aparece en el sitio web de reservas. Tuve que organizar la recogida en la estación de tren. Está lejos de la estación. No hay ascensor, solo suministros muy comunes de artículos de tocador. Con estos cargos, puedo alojarme en un mejor hotel de Tailandia. No hay mantenimiento de los muebles. Una cosa buena es que la cama y la ropa de cama son de buena calidad.

UUsuario invitadoVery accommodating front desk staff. Amenities you won't find it better than Vientiane Luxury Hotel are: The Gym, the pool, and the room cleanliness. It could use a little improvement on the elevator video display. It would be nice if the music from the display is more traditional like Lao bamboo flute or traditional music. Also show case the gym and pool more. 9.2 out of 10.
