We normally stay in hotels, so please bear in mind we aren't used to needing to undertake an initiative test to firstly try and find the place (quite poorly marked) and thereafter we felt like we were robbing a bank to get in......a code for this door, after trying to locate where the code input system was, poor stair lighting to add to the feeling that perhaps we weren't in the right place, then a code for the next door, a key store with a fiddly combination in a poorly lit corridor, so you use your phone torch to get the correct combination and the torch again to see the lock on the door to get into the room. If getting in was being scored on trip advisor then I would score it with a 1/5! The room itself was okay, nothing special, the bed was placed at a jaunty angle, as it was sort of too wide for where they located it and the shower was in the room and the toilet and wash hand basin in a cupboard squeezed tightly together. When I started my review, I initially scored it 4/5 and whilst reminiscing on my experience I down graded it to a 3... 3 and a half is probably more fair, but it certainly wasn't very good (hence no 4/5). The snacks they leave out are very generous and fresh. Elena was a nice lady who turned up the following morning, but everything about this place just seemed a bit "clunky". We were heading off, but I had t go back to take her my passport details.....If you run an "unmanned" check in service, surely a more robust means to capture passport details in advance would be better? Then later that day, I received a WhatsApp requesting I leave my city tax payment in the key store because they forgot to take it.....Everything was just a bit too much hassle for us. When travelling you just want things to be simple.....don't even get me started on how difficult it was to try and get the shower to a useable temperature!
