Hotel Posta

The hotel is old, but it has been updated through the years. It still needs updating, but it was clean and very nice people working there. It has a 24/7 reception which again gives us 24/7 open bar. I liked the fact that I could get a beer at this local small hotel after midnight and enjoy it outside in the heat. The hotel is located centrally with a lot of traffic on both sides. They have wifi, no freezer in the rooms. They do have private parking in a cellar about 3 minutes’ walk away from the hotel. People at the hotel comes along first time you park the car. Just be aware that the garage has a narrow road and cornering outside, so a larger car will have issues to park there. There is no option to park in the streets as I see it.

We stopped in Ventimiglia overnight before continuing onto La Spetzia the following day. Close enough to the railway station although perhaps not too easy to find. Good size room and very plentiful breakfast with lots of choice. Helpful staff.

Zunächst zum Kontext: Wir sind hier nur untergekommen, da aufgrund des Sanremo Festivals dieses Hotel bzw. Ventimiglia generell eine gute schnelle Anbindung mit dem Bahnhof nach Sanremo hatte und etwas "preisgünstiger" war. Das wars leider mit den positiven Seiten. Der Check-In war eine Vollkatastrophe. Vor Ort ist zwischen 11 und 15 Uhr niemand! Wir selbst sind nur durch andere Hotelgäste, die zufällig da waren, ins Gebäude gekommen (man erhält vorher einen Code für das Gebäude und das Hotelzimmer). Allerdings bekommt man die Hotelzimmer-Nummer erst ab 15 Uhr, wenn dann die Rezeption besetzt ist. Wir waren schon um 12 Uhr vor Ort und sind davon ausgegangen, dass jemand da wäre (zumindest eine Person). Über das Telefon konnten wir auch niemanden erreichen. Wir haben so oft angerufen. Es wirkte also alles komplett verloren. Angenommen man hätte einen Notfall gehabt, dann wäre einfach niemand da gewesen zu der Zeit. Wir wollten bei unserer Ankunft lediglich wissen, ob man abends auch einchecken kann, um früher nach Sanremo fahren zu können. Leider mussten wir dann 3 Stunden in Ventimiglia verbringen. Um 15 Uhr war dann jemand endlich im Hotel, allerdings sprach die Dame nicht einmal Englisch, obwohl dies in der Hotelbeschreibung angegeben ist. Wir müssten mittels Handy hin und her übersetzen, was irgendwann total lästig war. Die Dame selbst wirkte nicht organisiert und teilte uns mit, dass das Zimmer noch garnicht fertig war und wir noch 30min warten müssen. Das war wirklich ein Unding! Das Zimmer selbst wirkte komplett steril, das Interieur nicht besonders. Im Waschbecken floss das Wasser nur sehr sehr langsam ab und das W-LAN Passwort des Hotels konnten wir auch nirgendwo finden. Insgesamt leider also eine sehr schlechte Erfahrung und definitiv nicht empfehlenswert. Hier hätte ich mehr Service erwartet für den Preis!

Ho soggiornato all’Hotel Posta di Ventimiglia a febbraio, in concomitanza con il Festival di Sanremo. La pulizia dell’hotel, in particolare della camera, è ottima. Anche la posizione è un punto di forza, trovandosi vicino alla stazione e al centro città, rendendolo comodo per chi arriva in treno o vuole esplorare Ventimiglia a piedi. Un altro aspetto positivo è la cordialità delle signore dei piani, che si sono dimostrate molto disponibili e pronte a risolvere i problemi con l’accesso alla struttura. Nonostante queste note positive, il soggiorno non è stato all’altezza delle aspettative per un hotel classificato come tre stelle. La comunicazione con l’host è stata poco reattiva e, inoltre, non è presente una reception, il che complica ulteriormente l’assistenza agli ospiti. Non ho avuto necessità di supporto durante il soggiorno, ma in caso contrario non avrei saputo a chi rivolgermi, non avendo il numero dell’host, se non chiamando l’assistenza Airbnb, cosa che rafforza l’impressione di trovarsi più in un affittacamere che in un vero e proprio hotel. La colazione è stata deludente, con prodotti di qualità molto bassa, tutti prodotti industriali. A Ventimiglia mi è stato detto che l’hotel è stato venduto da poco, il che potrebbe spiegare alcuni aspetti di gestione non ancora ottimizzati. Se cercate una struttura in stile Airbnb senza particolari esigenze, può andare molto bene, grazie alla buona posizione e alla pulizia. Tuttavia, se vi aspettate i servizi di un vero hotel tre stelle, con reception e assistenza dedicata, probabilmente non è la scelta migliore.

Gut gelegenes Hotel zwischen den Bahnhof und dem Meer. Mit einer eigenen Garage, die ca. 3 Gehminuten entfernt ist. Ideal gelegen auch für Ausflüge nach Frankreich, mit dem Zug bestens zu erreichen. Alle im Hotel sehr freundlich. Familiäres Ambiente.

Hôtel à recommander pour son rapport qualité prix, pour son emplacement au cœur de Vintimille, pour sa propreté et pour la gentillesse de tous ceux qui œuvrent à notre bien-être. N’hésitez pas à leur demander les adresses de bons restaurants.
