The hotel is absolutely stunning. The decor is interesting & a feast for the eyes. Our lovely suite had a living room bath bedroom with a very comfortable bed with wonderful linens. The breakfast room is amazing with very unusual lighting & decor. It has scrumptious tasty offerings to enjoy. With a few take aways available. Our hosts Antoine & Thierry were friendly and very helpful. This fabulous hotel is at the edge of old town with many restaurants & shops to visit. It was truly a magical experience. Highly recommended and so inviting can’t wait to return.

This is perhaps the most stylish place we have ever stayed. It was a return visit. We stayed three nights. The bed and breakfast is handily situated on the edge of the old town and close to many attractions, restaurants and bars. The owners are a delight and very welcoming. The entrance, guest rooms and breakfast room have been decorated with enormous flair. Our suite had a designer theme with imaginative collages of Chanel, Dior, Hermes and Louis Vuitton boxes, ties, invitations and bags set against modern art, whimsical objects d’art, wonderful soft furnishings and an abundance of cushions. The effect was to induce a huge smile. The room was exceedingly comfortable as was the bed and the bathroom boasted double sinks and a huge shower. One could not ask for more. Breakfasts were a delight. In all, a real gem. Thank you so much.

It was a real treat to spend two weeks at La Maison du Frêne, a jewel of a hotel situated in the heart of the picturesque town of Vence, with its maze of medieval streets and numerous cafés and restaurants. Our light and airy suite was spacious, extremely comfortable and furnished with panache. What makes this hotel so memorable, however, is the level of care and attention given to guests. Each morning as our delicious breakfast was served our hosts went out of their way to help us plan our programme for the day, enthusiastically suggesting places to visit and providing helpful maps and leaflets. They showed a genuine interest in hearing where guests had been and how they had enjoyed themselves. The patrons listened with patience and encouragement to our faltering French and were happy to to continue the conversation in English when we became tongue-tied. They ordered taxis for us and were thoughtful enough to provide us with a bottle of wine to share with visiting family, as well as a parting gift as a souvenir of our stay. A truly original, delightful, relaxing family-run hotel. Simply a must for anyone wishing to stay in the area.

This was our third stay here. Each time it feels more and more special. A fine hotel can make you feel quite comfortable, perhaps even pampered a bit. But then you move on and they move on and you disappear into the anonymous stream of account receivables. You may get an e-mail or two encouraging you to return , signed by nobody or someone you have never met. A B&B, run with passion and grace, welcomes you as an individual, a potential friend. It illuminates its town or city with the joy and knowledge of those who really care about where they are from and genuine enthusiasm to share with their guests. I gave more details in my last review. We have found our anchorage int his lovely town and need to look no further.

This was the best experience ever! The place is exquisitely decorated, combining Old World elegance with sophisticated modern art. Everyone on the staff was helpful, especially Thierry, who gave us great ideas for our daily adventures and for the rest of the journey. Oh, I must especially thank the manager who went out of his way to sort through the daily garbage and find the voucher for redeeming our car from the parking lot!! Our room was large, comfortable, and well-equipped. Breakfasts were ample, with lots of choices, including fresh, seasonal fruit. Vence itself is a charming town, with plenty of outdoor cafes , excellent restaurants, and interesting walks. The Matisse Chapel is not to be missed and it is within easy walking distance. If you are planning to stay in this area, this is the best place. We can hardly wait to return.

La Maison du Frêne is a one of a kind B&B located on a dead end block facing the outside facing wall of the Medieval part of town of Vence. Staying there is like living inside a museum with artwork spread across the entrance, the stairs, the dining room and your room. We stayed in the "Vallauris" room on the second floor lavishly decorated with antiques and artwork. The room is large and comprises the bedroom, a separate desk and reading area and a large separate bedroom. Thiery you host, will answer all of your questions and is ready to suggest things to do. Antoine, Guy Boilleaut's son was also very helpful. He offered us a reservation to the restaurant accross the street after the other couple cancelled. There is no parking at the restaurant but there are two parking garage nearby and it is a short walk back to the B&B. There are good restaurants 5 minutes away.

Even though we used to live in this region I hadn’t considered a B and B, but this beautiful place is something else. The place is simply stunning. The staff and owners are a delight. It represents amazing value in this region. I stayed in The Chateau suite and was surrounded by truly special decor and comfort. Perfect base to explore the region with many restaurants in the local area. The facilities are so well:considered even down to a shoe horn and torch, as well a welcome fridge, and availability of drinks to order. I’ve just arrived back home today and am already looking forward to another visit,
