First time Fiji visit and first time yoga retreat exceeded my expectations. Gabrielle’s classes were thoroughly restorative, fostering energy, clarity and peace of mind. The setting of Daku’s yoga shala with its spectacular sea views and gentle sea breezes was truly special. The Daku staff were another highlight, always accommodating and professional, and blessed with infectious laughs and wonderful singing voices! Special thanks to George, Mariah and Peggy. Also to our exceptional hosts Delia and JJ for wide-ranging mealtime conversations and unforgettable excursions to a local village, waterfall and healing springs - and amazing snorkeling outings. Overall a wonderful week in a warmly welcoming resort.

JJ, Delia, Aubrey, Joe, Peggy, Joshika, Tukai, Saki and all at Daku are life changers after visiting Fiji and their special resort. We had a large group and even though I’m sure we were overwhelming at times, they never made us feel so. There were so many laughs, hugs and genuine connection moments throughout our retreat week. The food was delicious, the space was comfortable, the culture was always present and overall the time spent at Daku was glorious. I was not ready to leave and am already contemplating when I can go back - I will absolutely be staying with JJ and their staff who was like family again.

The staff were so friendly, patient, and accommodating. Got a lot of use out of the plunge pools. Peggy, Joe, and Saki were always available to answer a question, hack open a fresh coconut or mix up a tasty cocktail. JJ’s stories provided for fantastic dinner entertainment. Daku and staff made our Goddess retreat truly magical!!!

I have just returned from a beautiful one week "travel sketch tour" at Daku resort in Savu Savu. My trip started "on a high" when I was collected from the airport by one of the staff and greeted by Delia on arrival. I was allocated Bure 1 - next to the main area of the resort - large enough to hold 4 people ( but I had it to myself ) . The bed was decorated with " Bula" and frangipanis - my balcony looked across the lawns of the resort and the water - I spent many lovely moments sitting there admiring the view. During the week we were treated to 3 Kava ceremonies - on arrival , at a local village (with a breath taking display of music and dance) and a farewell. The resort organized a display of basket weaving and the process of obtaining coconut milk - (from the opening of the coconut to the end of the process.) The staff at the resort were delightful - at all times, welcoming attentive and warm - Joe became our guide for trips outside the resort almost every day. My package included 3 meals a day - the food was outstanding - JJ and Delia have secured a local lad - a very talented chef! My last 2 days there included a trip to a waterfall and lounging by the beautiful pool - and Delia and JJ joined us for last delicious dinner. An incredible " ceviche ". I have no hesitation in highly recommending this resort and its staff. I hope to return again soon.

The staff and location are top-notch. You will feel like family and they will make sure that your stay is memorable. We hosted a retreat at Daku and it went over seamlessly. Daku made sure that we had shuttles and taxis whenever we needed them. They assisted us when we wanted to go into town to the club. They also accommodated the many changes that happened and did it with a smile. The staff was always so caring and we appreciated them all so much. The food was amazing and we loved everything that they made us! I cannot wait to get back to Daku. They call SavuSavu "hidden paradise" and it truly is! - Sota Tale from Tara!

Big Vinaka! I came to this resort with the group of sketchers. Erin Hill was our tutor and we were sketching around Savusavu. The staff at the resort were like a family. We had a welcoming ceremony at the start of our stay. It was so foreign to me, coming from Brisbane, where I used to just check in the hotel, get the swipe card and never see the reception again. At Daku resort, I learnt names of all the crew there. Our sketching group had excursions every day organised by the resort owners JJ & Delia. Once I mentioned that I would like to do snorkeling and Delia took me to a split rock to see all wonderful fish there! The resort provided all the gear for snorkeling. Also, the resort has a collection of kayaks. I was fortunate enough with the weather and puddled along the coast. What else can I tell you? The bed was done up every second day, shower with hot water was great and bure I was staying in was so cosy! I would recommend everyone to come and check this little gem by yourselves! Vinaka!

The staff are the kindest people in the world. They become your family. I cried tears of joy as I hugged them all goodbye. Everything about Daku is five stars. The rooms, the food, the views. It was such an incredible experience. I can’t wait to come back.

Daku Resort was an amazing stay. Can't say enough about excellent information from their reservation office, especially Kirisitiana went outof her way to make sure everything was in place prior to arrival. From our pickup at the airport to the day we left we were looked after like family. Our need for early breakfast prior to our diving at JMC was looked before we arrived. We can't thank the staff enough for making it a great and wonderful stay. A special thanks to Peggy and the resort staff for their attention to all of our needs. Looking forward to seeing you again.

I went to Daku Resort as part of a group on a 1 week yoga holiday and really enjoyed it. Although the property is a little run down, the staff, food, tours, yoga platform and resort location completely made up for that. We did have initial problems with our original villa, however management moved us to a different one without any issue. What makes this resort a winner is all of the wonderful local staff. Always smiling and nothing is too much trouble. I would not hesitate in staying there again.
