Helpful staff who spoke excellent English. Very close to railway station. No hot option at breakfast.

Other than the location, nothing good to say about this hotel. The bed was terrible, I did not sleep well all 4 nights of my stay. The breakfast was pitiful- very little choices, and bad coffee. My friend got locked out of her room, and had to wait for more than an hour for a locksmith to break down the door, and relocate her to another room. Another friend had a leak in the room. My mattress was lumpy and hard.

Pros: - Near the train station of Padova - Rooms are decent with old furniture style - Bed & cushion was comfortable - Cordial Receptionists - Breakfast was just okay Cons: - Nearby area is like not being in Italy, as full of immigrants - Late-night feeling is uncomfortable & unsafe - Still use the old blankets (refer to the image) which are considered unhygienic - Lighting is dull in the room Definitely, the space to improve with time is necessary.

It was well priced and convenient to leave and arrive at the train station. It wasn’t far to walk into the town and the water was hot and the showers had great water pressure. They also had soy milk for breakfast and the coffee was nice. The staff were lovely. The rooms are dated but that doesn’t bother me. Plenty of space to hang my dresses. The downsides were, the room smelled of cigarette smoke and the pillows were heavy and hard as a rock. I couldn’t use them. Luckily there was a spare. I would probably stay elsewhere next time.

The first contact with Mrs. Maria Svarc, head of the booking office of the Hotel Principe in Udine took place by mail on 12.01.2022, when I asked for a reservation of nine rooms for 21.04.2022. The affirmative reply arrived immediately. After the booking, the details of my credit card were sent to Ms Svarc. One week before the start of the trip, Ms Svarc informed me that my credit card was not valid and that I have either to give another credit card or transfer the money, because otherwise she will have to cancel our booking. Immediately a friend stepped in and his card details were sent. Ms Svarc refused this card as well and insisted on a bank transfer. The transfer was made on Good Friday but was obviously delayed by the bank internally due to the Easter holidays. On the 20th of April, while cycling in the middle of the Canal Valley, I received a call from Ms Svarc, that the money had not arrived and that she will therefore cancel the booking, as there are always crooks working with tricks. This prejudice shocked us very much! All of us in the group are serious people with university or business backgrounds, and none of us needs to take advantage on anything. Apart from that, all our credit cards worked the whole week in all other hotels without any problems. In the afternoon, we sent to Ms Svarc the details of a third credit card, which she again did not accept. I asked the hotel owner in Gemona to call her and confirm that the cycling group existed, that there were no problems with the payment and that we wanted to claim the rooms at the Hotel Principe the next day. Still on 21.04. in the morning a friend from Udine had to make a telephone call to Mrs. Svarc to confirm our seriousness. It may be that such a strict way of dealing with customers is desired by the hotel management, but this way of dealing with us by Ms Svarc is utterly unacceptable for us. We recommend a retraining for Ms Maria Svarc, otherwise we will never book in this hotel again. Wolfgang Scholz, the organiser

Tremendo hotel, posizionato in un tugurio, facente parte di un immobile abbandonato con finestre rotte , ingresso confinante con un kebab, camere che neanche in hotel a 1 stella sono così pessime, letto rotto, mancanza di telefono. Voto 1 in mancanza dello zero.

A 50 metri dalla stazione FS. A 50 metri dalla stazione bus FVG. Solo per questo punteggio massimo. Colazione più che sufficiente con ottima qualità. Pulizia e cambio asciugamani giornaliero con pulizia impeccabile. Camera più che dignitosa. Complessivamente per i prezzi di Udine ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Soddisfattissimo con struttura da consigliare.
