9 Palms Inn

The staff was super friendly but the room was subpar. The AC was not strong enough to coll the room even after hours being on. The mattresses and pillows were lumpy and bed base was way smaller than the mattress. The shower drain was partially clogged and the toilet in a a corner between two walls that I could hardly fit into. The room outlets are not US outlets so there various extension cords and split outlets but when you tuen off the main light, an emergency light goes on and cannot be turned off. Super flaky colors were nice but room was inconvenient and strange.

It is close to Skys the Limit Observatory and 29 Palms entrance to Joshua Tree National Park. Cheap and clean. Park in front of your room. Room has refrigerator and microwave. Near markets and fast food.

Warm, friendly, helpful proprietor and clean, comfortable and charming cabin, such a reasonable price. Would stay again. Comfy bed, great air con, huge fridge freezer, microwave, coffee filter machine, great shower. 2 mugs provided - need to bring own bowls/plates/cutlery. Supermarket 1min drive away. Porch with bench, on hill, so great view of sunset. A bit tired but adds to charm and didn’t affect stay in any way.

Very good value for money. Overnight stop on a roadtrip and the place is perfect for that. Comfortable and sizeable room with mini kitchen, good bed and clean bathroom.

This is a very nice older motel at a great price . It has colorful individual huts and mine was very clean. It's a bit awkward to park a motorcycle but he says we can park in the gated flat area where the pool used to be. The owner is very nice and helpful. I liked staying here.

I’ll be staying here next time The stay was overall great! This is a locally owned hotel with nice hard working folks in charge! The rooms were big, spacious, were equipped with a kitchen space with a fridge and microwave, and the bathroom was big and well equipped. Great super competitive price for the area too!! My only con to the property is that the rooms absorb quite a lot of heat during the day making them TOASTY during the night. While it was in low 40s outside, inside we were in the 80s. The AC was very very noisy and not efficient at all so we had to leave it on for a while and couldn’t sleep. The windows had mesh but it was damaged so we were scared bugs would come inside and then we definitely wouldn’t sleep at all. However after leaving the AC on for a bit and putting on a fan (it includes a standing fan!) we were able to turn off the AC and sleep! Beyond that, the property is really well maintained, very clean!! For everyone concerned about bed buga when traveling, the rooms don’t have carpet and were well cleaned. This alone decreases the bed bug survival in comparison with your traditional carpeted hotel room. It also helps the room cool faster for the hot nights! For those complaining about paint- please chill!! It’s a hotel, not the color of your home! I enjoyed staying at a vibrant, locally owned place, with close access to the park, and a short 2-5 min drive to restaurants and more services.
