The Diplomat Hotel

A lovely hotel with a variety of rooms. We had a sea view room which had an awesome view of the beach. The private beach area was always clean and the sea a beautiful blue hue. The room was a little oldish and on the small side though very clean and well serviced. The staff are wonderful, they really look after their guests. I would definitely come back to stay. If you are looking for a family and a couples friendly Mediterranean beach then Turunc is a great choice.

+ The hotel is located right at the beach and it has private beach area with free sun lounges, parasols, shower and changing cabinet. + The food at the hotel restaurant is good + close to restaurants and groceries + spacious family room + balcony (small but two people can sit easily and have some drinks) - equipment in the room was not well maintained. Room phone and TV was not working and one of the doors could not be closed. - hotel restaurant is quite expensive - small swimming pool - I would rate breakfast average Overall, for short stay this hotel is quite OK.

We spent the first week of October at Diplomat Hotel and it was exquisite. We are regular guests of Diplomat Hotel because of our pleasant previous stays at the hotel. The management quality of the hotel and their warm hospitality have never changed because it’s a family-run hotel for three generations. The hotel is situated at the best location of Turunc Bay; just in the middle of the bay. It allows you to swim to the left end of the bay where there is a rocky coastline. That’s why it is perfect for swimming anf snorkeling. If you want to swim with the sea turtles in this blue-flagged crystal-clear sea, you shouldn’t forget to bring your goggles. Diplomat has its private beach area with plenty of sunchairs and parasols. There is always an attentive hotel personnel at the beach area so your belongings are safe. The hotel has two separate buildings. The main building on the seashore has rooms with stunning sea view. Turunç bay is famous for its sunrises and full moon rises. If your are lucky enough to coincide with the full moon, I’d recommend you not to miss its rising time at the horizon. The second hotel building is located behind the main building. There is a peaceful swimming pool there. We stayed at the fully furnished and renovated apartments in that building this year. Our studio room was fully equipped with a big fridge, cooker, microwave, kettle and all necessary kitchen utensils. Even though we prefered to have our meals at the hotel’s restaurant “Bade” that served wide variety of delicious dishes, it was convenient to be able to prepare simple food and tea in our room and enjoy it at our balcony with a stunning mountain view. When it comes to cleanliness, everything was spotless. Our towels and bed sheets were changed regularly. I would highly recommend the hotel because of firstly its hospitality and kind personnel and then delectable dishes at Bade restaurant and its perfect location at the bay.

Great location on the beach. 2 min walk to all the shops, no hills. Rooms quite tight not as advertised 25sqm but ok for a couple of nights. We had sea view with small balcony, great views of the beach and surrounding area. Would return but only for a couple of nights max.

This is just the loveliest hotel, we enjoyed our stay immensely. The staff are wonderful and the location is excellent. Emil, Aden, Dilara and Jam were very helpful. We will return! Thank you for making our holiday special and going the extra mile.

Our stay at the Diplomat Hotel in Marmaris Turunc was nothing short of amazing! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel right at home, treating us with such warmth and kindness. They were particularly accommodating towards me and my baby, which made a world of difference. Every single member of the team was lovely, from the bartenders to the front desk staff, always ready to help with a smile. A special mention has to go to Rumeysa, who was an absolute gem throughout our stay. She was incredibly attentive, courteous, and always willing to assist with anything we needed, making sure we were comfortable at all times. Hakan was equally fantastic, going above and beyond to ensure we were happy and well taken care of. The food was another highlight—delicious and varied, with something for everyone. And the location of the hotel couldn’t have been better, right by the beach with breathtaking views. We had such a wonderful experience that we are already planning to return. Highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing and family-friendly getaway!
