Hotel Lido Beach PHG

This was a pleasant relaxing place to stay that is right on the beach. The rooms are a nice size. We stayed two days in two different rooms one was a superior room that was nicely appointed and appeared recently renovated. It was a relatively large space with a large bathroom & shower. We liked it so much that we decided to stay a second night. However, when we booked that, unbeknownst to us we were getting a regular room. Initially, we were disappointed by that as that meant we had to pack our things yet again. In the end though the regular room turned out to be a good size room too. The shower was smaller but still adequate. The bathroom was a good size though. The pool is really nice and clean too. (I have pools in both of my houses). There is ample free seating around the pool. We had snacks that we brought with us poolside and when we requested two glasses of ice from the restaurant the attendant said the restaurant owner wouldn’t like that we brought food with us. That is despite the fact that the restaurant was closed and we were hungry. The breakfast offering was just okay but enough to not be hungry as you start your day. The sand on the beach is a darker brown color which taints the water color a bit from the emerald green that it really is on the other beaches. Regardless, it’s convenient and refreshing. We stayed 2 nights at the Lido Beach in a Superior Room. The Superior rooms and suites are located adjacent to the restaurant whilst the standard rooms are in the main part of the hotel. We chose the Superior room rather than a suite due to the bed in the suite being located on the mezzanine floor. None of the rooms have a direct sea view as the hotel is set back from the beach and there are trees and fences obstructing the view. The rooms look exactly like the photos and appear to have been recently redecorated. The bathroom was spacious with a great shower. The air-conditioning worked well. Bottled water and tea/coffee making was provided in the room. We had an issue with the blind over the door not working properly which we reported to reception in the morning. This had been fixed on our return in the afternoon which was impressive. We ate in the restaurant both nights and were given a 10% discount. The food was well presented and reasonably priced and there was a good selection of wine. The service both nights was excellent. There were a few minor points which we felt would improve the overall experience. Firstly, it took ages to get coffee at breakfast and the juice had all but run out both days. Perhaps a self-service coffee option would be better. Secondly, there is no seating in the room. As the Superior rooms have a small garden area outside it would be ideal to convert these areas into small patios with a table and chairs for having coffee/drinks. Lastly, the hotel lacks a bar. There is a very limited drinks list with no cocktails. As the garden and pool area are a nice place to sit it is a shame there is no option to have ‘aperitivo’ so we went to the nearby beach bar instead. This is a nice hotel with professional staff which fully deserves its 4* rating.

This stop on our way down Sardinia was a VERY pleasant surprise! The room was spacious and immaculate… and the scent was exotic and aromatic (even the hallway smelled fantastic :-) The personnel at the reception desk & restaurant were friendly and attentive. The pool was extremely well maintained, and the water an ideal temperature… with the Mediterranean less than 100 yards away. HIGHLY recommend!

The place is very welcoming , and backs on to a lovely sandy beach has its own pool and one could spend all day there relaxing, has a very good Restaurant with top class staff that look after you . The rooms are nice and big ,and very clean. We enjoyed our stay and recommended it highly

Lovely, small hotel. Nice gardens with infinity pool overlooking the beach. Beautful rooms that looked as if they had all been renovated recently. Comfy beds. Spotlessly clean. Free bottled water daily, ftee safe in toom and free parking. Staff very attentive and friendly. Excellent restaurant with delicious food at reasonable prices. Fabourites were sea bream, steak, home made pasta. Very good breakfast with lots of choice. Step straight from hotel gardens onto huge beach. Watersports, beach tennis courts etc availsble close to hotel. Hotel within walking distance of village with a few resturants and shops. I think you ideally need a car to get to the hotel in the first place and handy to explore the area. Sarsidinia seems to have hundreds of lovely beaches. Roads were pretty quiet most of the time so driving felt safe. My wife and I eould highly recommend the hotel and we are planning to visit again.
