Marlborough B & B

Nanette and Steve are wonderful hosts . We had a fabulous 3 nights in the garden suite . Really comfortable accommodation and having breakfast on the veranda beneath the wisteria was truly memorable . Breakfasts were fantastic and to say they were generous would be an understatement . It was a great base to explore the local area , take in some wineries etc . So much more memorable that another hotel room . Highly recommended and Paddy the black labrador is just a lovely old boy .

Steve and Nanette have done a fantastic job of creating a welcoming B&B experience. We stayed here for 2 nights on our honeymoon and it was definitely one of our favourite stays on the trip! The breakfast spread was top notch and we were fortunate enough to be joined by the resident fur baby Paddles who is a friendly and gentle black lab who very much enjoyed giving us his best puppy eyes for a little snack. The room was well equipped with nice little extra touches like a jar of cookies and walnuts grown in the garden. There were wine maps and lonely planet guides etc. available in the room and Steve and Nanette were also happy to recommend things to do locally.

A haven in wine country -- close enough to the wineries, but really an idyllic country getaway that just happens to have great restaurants and wineries within reach, if you want them The B&B was so delightful, though, we just hid away over a long weekend. Freshly baked croissants each morning, along with all of the ingredients for a lovely breakfast we prepared at our time and pace. Very comfortable space, inside and out, with a great bed, amazing shower and other facilities, birds tweeting and occasional cows lolling, and rain on the tin roof. Delicious.

We had a terrific stay at the Marlborough Bed & Breakfast at Woodside. It is the perfect spot to explore the Marlborough wine country. Steve and Nanette were gracious hosts. We stayed in the room at the front of the house, and it was very private with its own entrance and outdoor seating areas. The room was very comfortable for two, even with a bunch of luggage. There is an additional indoor seating area off the bedroom with a refrigerator, microwave and kettle. The bathroom is spacious. Steve and Nanette provided a terrific breakfast both mornings of our stay, with local produce, pastries, and delicious meats and cheeses. We also really enjoyed chatting with them, and will definitely stay there again. And Paddy the Labrador was icing on the cake!

Nanette and Steve were wonderful hosts during our two-night stay in their lovely historic farmhouse B&B surrounded by beautiful countryside. Woodside is centrally located in the Marlborough region, within short driving distances of Blenheim, Cloudy Bay, Omaka Aviation Heritage Center, and countless vineyards. Our garden suite was perfect—spacious, private, and comfortable. We started our days with ample breakfasts, first morning on the sunny, wisteria-covered porch and the next colder morning in Nanette and Steve’s kitchen. We loved every minute of our Woodside visit … easily five stars!

我非常喜欢这里。房间很干净。房东准备了很多零食，水果，果汁，水和早餐的东西。我认为物有所值。最令我难忘的是，早上出门的时候，我纠结很久，要不要关暖气。因为我和别人不同，我非常的怕冷。如果在我自己的家，我是绝对不会关暖气的。可是这里是别人的家。我又觉得人不在房间暖气全开好像很过分。很不甘心的关掉了。可是当我一日游回来之后，竟然惊喜的发现房间好暖。全屋的暖气都开着。房东送了自己做的面包来，餐馆级别。 I love it here. The rooms are clean and the host prepared lots of snacks, fruit, juice, chilled water and breakfast. This stay was definitely worth it. I get very cold easily, I wanted to come back to a warm house but since this isn’t my own house and I didn’t want to increase the bills I turned off the heater before I left. The host seems to notice I get cold easily because when I came back to the place I was surprised to find that the host helped us turn on the heater to make sure it was warm when we got back. We also got lots of croissants that tasted amazing. Thanks for the awesome stay.
