Why have a website that says you are open 7 days a week from 11 to 11, and a sign outside the pub saying now open every day and then be shut on bank holiday Monday ?? Therefore it is impossible to review the place apart from to hopefully warn future visitors to check in advance of their visit. We won’t bother to walk there again that’s for sure.

Amazing pub and lovley room. Would definitely recommend anyone coming down Cornwall. This is the place to stay. AAA++++ Nice room, hospitable and met Ed Lovely pub food Beautiful warm clean room THANK YOU from all at SDM Fuels. Matt

new landlord is brilliant! always going the extra mile to make sure everyone is looked after. lovely atmosphere, great service, pub is always kept clean and tidy. will definitely be coming back!!!!!

Took over by new management recently and has been vastly improved. Lovely family run pub for family’s, great place to go and rooms are great aswell . Big beer garden and free parking , pints are chilled to perfection. My family love it here now . Has event nights aswell

Needed a one night stay in Truro at fairly short notice so booked this place. Paid in advance (£51) unfortunately. Took one look at the room and left - could not contemplate staying in this disgusting filthy hole. Probably worth £51 not to risk sleeping there. Whole place stank of cigarette smoke. This hotel is a disgrace and the owners should be ashamed of themselves for offering such a foul environment for paying guests. Would have given zero in every category if it was an option.

We had a week in Cornwall from the 28th of December 2022. We had a nice Sunday lunch, and the day before we were meant to leave, we would have a drink and we went across the road it was quite a rainy day and unfortunately the pub was shut, so we went around the back door, but unfortunately she was making the beds and said we are shut, the strange thing is it was only 1pm in the afternoon very bizarre and not great business and advert for the pub as it's the only one in the village.

Wow, kept awake all-night by the guy in the room next door talking to him self, every thing very tired, hairs in the bed, cigarette smoke from the pub down stairs when the pub was closed, At breakfast which was ok a large pile of dog poo by the table. Will not be going back The pub has just been taken over, maybe the pub should have been closed down and cleaned, and decorated,

It was only £55, but was probably worth only half of that to be honest. I was down in Falmouth on a job .... and wish I'd gone straight home! Bed comfy, room reasonably clean. Advertised as ensuite, but toilet and shower down the corridor. No cold water from sink. Can't fit kettle under tap to fill it. TV doesn't work in the bedroom. Very limited menu in the bar, and breakfast consists of white toast and cereal. Place smells of cigarette smoke, and other stuff. Don't bother looking at the hotel website. It bears no resemblance to reality! Very dirty feel to the whole place. Won't ever be staying again ...... even at £25!!

Don’t book this place it’s a rip off and it’s disgusting. Very disappointed. No member of staff there to speak to and the pub was not open. Other guests knocking on the door asking if we had seen any member of staff. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!! There is definitely something wrong with that rating!!!!!
