Sandals Grenada All Inclusive - Couples Only

This was our 5th Sandals holiday and by far the best resort & staff! From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we were treated with such personal & unique service. Staff we would like to mention for special thanks are: Leshon & Anil (Anif!) - legends, thanks for the high fives and laughs on our arrival. Shaquana - for sorting our room swap when room 9111 was uninhabitable! (Due to indoor flood with AC) Helping us move our stuff and saving the day! Room 9107 was much better! Ginger - for being 100% brilliant! Friendly, responsive, accountable and a great organiser! Thanks for all that you did for us. Kiselle - for being phenomenal in her friendliness & service, remembering everyone’s drinks and names - having a daily laugh (Alright Shun!!) Cody & Jason - for inventing & making the “Cody Brandy!” Mel - aka Melissssssa! - for superb personal service whenever we passed her. Wendy & the girls in the resort shop…… don’t ever give up the broom Wendy! We had such a laugh with you all. Shawn - absolutely amazing skipper and thanks for looking after us every time we boarded Astonia. Whole aqua team were fab! All the amazing hospitality staff …… you greeted us with smiles & laughter, and served us impeccably throughout our stay….. we can’t name you all….. but Dionne, Stephenson, L’Oréal, Sherrie did stand out. The whole team from housekeeping, gardening, pool staff, laundry, maintenance, and everyone who made our stay the best EVER……THANK YOU X We did 2 “Island resort” tours - with Sunhunters, and highly recommend the 4x4 self drive jeep and waterfall tour, visiting the very interesting cocoa museum and nutmeg factory as well. Great way to see the island and its history and culture. Lovers lagoon rooms were stunning, great location, not hilly like some others and away from the hub hub of the resort. All restaurants were superb - our favourites being Le Jardinier and Butch’s. We made some life long friends from Ottawa, Canada & Baltimore, Maryland during our stay who we are going to our next Sandals with and this wouldn’t have happened without Sandals in the first place. We clocked up 70 nights with this stay and enjoyed the welcome back dinner very much. Looking forward to our next stay already. Again thank you Michelle & Melvyn

My husband and I just returned from a 10 night stay at Sandals Grenada for our honeymoon and ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT. We loved it so much that we booked to come back in two year for our anniversary. We have traveled to multiple all-inclusive resorts with butler service previously (none were Sandals), so we thought we knew what to expect; however, any and all expectations were completely exceeded. My following review is based off of my prior all-inclusive international trips and what I experienced on this one. 1. Butler Service (10/10 specifically for Leanna, Don, and Kevon): Growing up with Butler service at other well-known resorts, I had expectations but they were significantly exceeded. At other resorts, our Butlers would help book reservations and help with anything we needed. However, our butler team on this trip went above and beyond. Not only did they help get us into every restaurant we wanted and assist us with changing our excursions to meet the weather of the island, but they consistently checked on us throughout the day. They would bring us afternoon snacks/drinks at the pool, keep the room stocked with our favorite beverages, and expedite our room service requests. As time went on, they knew our specific drink orders perfectly and would just come with a drink in hand for us. Every night we would come home to our room decorated in some fashion. I mentioned that I loved the string lights they would put out, so they always did some type of light feature for us after that. On nights that we planned to stay out drinking/dancing, I would even come home to a bowl of fried rice from Kimonos. Just to show how much they put into what they do, I have a dog named Milo -- come to find out that there was a drink in Grenada called Milo. It was not available on the resort, and I looked for it on every excursion but could never find it. One day, we come back to the room and our awesome Butler, Don, had purchased it and left it in our living room for me to try1!! That's when I knew that this Butler experience would be hard to replicate. We had made some friends on our trip that did not have a great initial experience with their butler team and in learning about their experience, I realized our team was the real deal. Our Butler, Leanna, ended up filling in for them and was able to snag them a spot next to us at Kimonos. When Leanna came to check on us both, and we told them she was a part of our team, they ended up requesting to switch! We requested to have dinner with them and our Butlers were able to arrange a table for all 4 of us each night remaining on our stay. They even had a special surprise for the last night where we had a fancy dinner up in our friends room! It was truly a magical experience from beginning to end. Everything they did was personalized and although they had multiple couples, you felt like you were the only one they were taking care of. 2. Sadly this is our last day of our honeymoon so I wanted to write a few words about Sandals Grenada. Yes it is that good!! For us the best Sandals we have ever had the pleasure of visiting. This is a phenomenal hotel and I can’t rate this hotel highly enough. The location is stunning. The grounds are beautiful, the resort is spotless, the beach is gorgeous, the sea water clear (do bring your snorkels) and both the party pool and the quiet pool are fun and relaxing in their own way. The food is beyond exceptional and every restaurant served 10/10 quality cuisine. The most to be said about this wonderful hotel is each of the staff members. An incredible team and the most friendliest I have ever had the pleasure of meeting on a holiday. Thank you to each and everyone of you who work so tirelessly. If I have one criticism - it’s what my wife and I refer to as ‘beat the butlers’. There are plenty of sun-lounges but if you want to be by the waters edge whether that be by the pool or by the beach then it’s a race at 6am. (perhaps there is a conversation to be had with management about ‘zoning’ areas for butler guests, leaving some areas for non butler guests to enjoy). We had the pleasure of a return visit to Sandals Grenada - November 9 through November 15, 2024. We previously stayed in the pink gin honeymoon penthouse, but this time opted to be on the second floor South Seas Waterfall suite. We honestly preferred this room, even though we didn’t have a view of the ocean, for its proximity to everything. The room looks over waterfall pools and lush gardens. I could write endlessly about what an amazing resort this is. I will hit the highlights. From the moment you arrive in the airport and then take the quick trip to resort you are met by some of the kindest people you will ever know. There is not one employee in any area of this resort that I encountered that that didn’t go above and beyond to assist us and meet all of our needs and to greet us throughout our stay. We had no issues getting lounge chairs anytime of the day. We are mainly pool people, but we did go down to the beach and floated on rafts and snorkeled right off of the beach. Don’t miss the free afternoon boat ride. It happens daily at 3 o’clock. You can register for it down at the dive shop. Sean the captain is extremely informative and funny and you learn so much about the island. We made one dinner reservation from home, but otherwise we just made reservations or did walk-ins for dinner and again never had a problem. I enjoyed all of my meals, but if you are a sushi fan, I found that to be incredible. Also it’s nice to try the signature drinks at every restaurant. The one thing that has always impressed me about this resort is that management is readily available and I cannot say enough positive things about their GM Peter Fraser as well as his right hand Rohan. They are accessible and they encourage you to chat with them as they walk around daily checking on guests. They are truly interested in the guests having a wonderful stay. We’ve been to many Sandals , but I will say this resort far and above exceeds all the others when it comes to nightly entertainment . The party pool often has someone singing in the evening but then at 9 PM at night there is always some type of activity in the living room. It is obvious they pride themselves in the shows they put on and they do an excellent job. I don’t want to single out too many for fear of missing some, but I will say that Sway, Jazz and Kimoney are incredible performers. They are extremely talented. The bar staff are funny and engaging and learn your favorite drinks immediately. So many shout outs in this group, but I wanna make sure to mention Micah and Stevenson and Anthony and Javon the server. Also Dee Dee and Mario. honestly, I could go on and on. We enjoy the pub late night and we never felt like we were a bother by coming in late ordering food having drinks and laughing with all of your staff. My wife and I (and the two other couples we were traveling with) LOVED Grenada! It was our 4th Sandals experience (after trying Grande St. Lucian, Antigua, and Curacao) and it was definitely one of our favorites - we even re-booked for next year. The beach was wonderful, the water was like a bath tub, the snorkeling around the little bay was very cool. The quiet and party pools are both great. We loved the food at all the restaurants. This was our first time experiencing a butler level room, and it was incredible! It really made a very relaxing trip, somehow much more relaxing. We had Randell, Alex, and Zoe working with us, and they are AMAZING. If you are booking a butler room, they are the best!!

We have been to many sandals hotels and found this one a disappointment compared to the other properties we have visited. I will try and summarise it in as short review as possible. This is the first sandals I have rated below a 4/5. Firstly the good points; Large range of food and drinks. Beautiful grounds and plants. Lovely beach area and welcoming sea. Neptune's service was always fantastic. A lot of places to sit on the beach but the main pool seats get taken up quick. Entertainment was varied and interesting. Bad points Service was below average, not all employees but quite a few didn't acknowledge you when you arrived. Long wait times to be served at multiple restaurants, notably, butchs steakhouse where we waited over an hour to get any food, and the Italian restaurant, where we also waited over an hour to get even a starter, and drinks we ordered didn't arrive either at the restaurants, so we had to chase them up. We also had multiple restaurants forget we had ordered desserts so was left sat there and we ended up just walking out. Towels were taken but not replaced in our room on multiple occasions. Vegetarian options have become almost limited to fake 'meat' dishes now, rather than Veggie meals. Didn't get welcome pack in room so had to chase up the spa voucher, and they had run out of t shirts for our whole stay. Was served meat for lunch after asking for vegetarian qasedilla, unfortunately found out too late after taking a bite, as I didn't open up the wrap beforehand. Multiple times my husband asked about going out for snorkelling on the boat but hardly ever got a straight answer and most the time only snorkelled from shore with the aqua team. Woke up early a few times before anything was open and the coffee machines had been taken away from lobby area so only had the room to get coffee in. Was told by reception that we could have a free room to shower in as we had a late flight, however we sat and waited and in the end was told just to use the shower area. We would've just done this anyway rather than being told to wait for a room to become free, seemed like a waste of time. Overall didn't feel as welcoming as other sandals, felt like you were being a pain when asking for drinks at the bar etc. So in conclusion after paying that much money for a hotel and holiday we would've expected a lot better from a sandals hotel, like the many we had been to before. If this was half the price and a different hotel chain then I would've expected this level of service. A bit of a disappointment overall.
