Hotel Pedro Carihuela

We had lunch here most days the week we were in Carihuela, lovely tapas and wine also great views ,would definitely recommend, we will visit again in June and looking forward to it ,although the weather wasn't brilliant when we visited we still enjoyed the Seaviews

I live near by and occasionally eat here. Service and food are fine and I will no doubt eat here again in the future but the Hotel web site menu is out of date. Ignore it and rely on the table menu provided. This is not a complaint just an observation and, I regret to say, typical of various establishments. It takes time to keep up dating web sites.

Physically a nice spot and well located. We’re staying nearby and went here for dinner. The food was “ok” but not really what was ordered. The caesar salad was more like a sweetened chicken salad and the grilled tuna was a joke (at 14 euros), not remotely like the menu photo of beautiful grilled ahi, more like heated canned tuna. We were severely disappointed

We stayed here for 10 days and had luck because we had a room at the first floor and one of the biggest rooms. The hotel has a wide range of rooms, vary in how big and luxe they are. Our room was renovated, but the Spanish way. It was big enough and enough space for your luggage, tv, queensize bed, desk with chair, shower with toilet and sink. The balcony was great. Large and with 2 sets of chairs and tables (normal set and lounge set). No sun blinds wich made it impossible to be on the balcony until 16:00. After this time and in the evening is is very nice to sit and watch all what is going on. The aircondition was very good and the small fridge too. The beds had ditches, but we slept fine. But this room is the biggest one. There are 2 other rooms on the seaside which are bigger too, but we heard from other guests the other rooms were not so good. Small, hardly space to place your luggage, no sink, And if you are not on the ist floor, your balcony is very small. The hotel is on a great location and leans on this. The 2 stars are overrated. The second star is because they give you a breakfast. But the breakfast just makes no sense at all. You can choose a toast or pistolet. To have something on it you can choose from cheese, ham, an egg or 2 kinds of jam. They offer you tea or coffee, but you can also tap some fruitdrink. That's all and we knew this in advance so we were not dissapointed. We bought our breakfast from the supermarket and ate it on our balcony or on the beach. The restaurant below the hotel is from the same owner and also the place where you sit fot breakfast. The people working there are not pleasant and not very friendly. You did not feel very welcome, which made it not very nice to stay. They have wifi, but don't expect too much of it. Cleaning was ok, but not top. Towels were changed after 2 days and bed made up. The bed sheets were not changed during our stay. Because it is right on the boulevard and beach does not ustifies the price. It is overpriced and there are hundreds of hotels or appartments allong the seaside which are bigger and/or cheaper giving more value for your money.

C'est la 1ere fois que je choisi un petit hôtel juste avec petit déjeuner et bien la dernière fois!! Ma chambre au dernier étage, n'est pas du tout reprise sur les photos de l'annonce. Pas de crochets pour mettre les vêtements/pyjama. La literie est soit dater de plus de 20 ans. Matelas mou, qui laisse un fossé quand on se relève. Fenêtre dans la salle de bain vissée pour ne pas l'ouvrir, pas d'aération. Il faut se laver avec la porte ouverte sinon on suffoque. Pas de détecteur de fumée dans les chambres, donc, certain visiteurs y fument et laisse une odeur désagréable dans les couloirs. Balcon minuscule, impossible de bouger sa chaise quand on y est assis. Petit déjeuner minable. Juste des toasts fromage/jambon ou toasts confiture fraise/abricot et un jus d'orange. Pas de viennoiseries, pas de céréales. J'ai vu des gens emmener leur propre chocolat!!! Pas toujours de l'eau chaude le matin pour se laver. Chambre juste à côté de la lingerie, bruit toute la journée. Femmes de ménage toujours présentes et parfois bruyantes. Personnel pas très sympa, ne dit jamais bonjour, vous apporte votre café sans un sourire, sans un s'il vous plaît... Cet hôtel ne mérite pas d'étoile et le prix n'est pas correct. Il devrait être beaucoup moins cher. Je n'ai jamais mangé dans le restaurant ni bu un verre car ça ne m'en donnait pas l'envie. Le nettoyage n'est pas vraiment fait. Juste essuies de bains propres chaque jour et petit coup de serpillière rapide au sol. Chasse d'eau qui coule nuit et jour... Quartier très bruyant et festif la nuit. Je ne conseille vraiment pas cet hôtel.

Als je van de hele dag op strand liggen houdt, is dit hotel the place to be. Heel goede locatie, loopt echt vanuit Hotel het strand op. Kamer is goed te doen, nieuwe bedden 2 x 1 pers. Nieuwe meubels, IKEA kwaliteit, en mooie grote koelkast. Tv op de kamer met ook NL zender. Badkamer is smal, klein, en douchebak waar je in moet stappen met plastic wandjes. Wel flinke waterdruk en naast handdouche een heerlijk regendouche. Schoonmaak dagelijks met elke dag schone handdoeken. Verder bij wastafel zeeppomp en stukje zeep verpakt als ook douche gel. Restaurant is heel goed, en top personeel. Ontbijt is minimaal, maar supermarkt zit 10 meter lopen waar je zelf evt extra’s kunt kopen
