The stay was pleasant, the room was basic but clean missed not having a bath and just a shower missed simple things like a hair dryer in the room although when requested at the reception I was given one and lack of choice of coffee and tea in the room.
It was very nice that there was no noise at night and meant a decent night's sleep.
Breakfast was acceptable, but you have to get there early when it comes out hot from the kitchen, or it is all cold from spending to long under the hot plates. The only big downside is it's a good 30mns walk from the town centre although buses seem to run outside the hotel but there is a good-sized car park if you drive.
The room was small but fine for just my 2 nights stay and acceptable. I'm not sure the room size, lack of luxuries and breakfeast beng hit and miss would make it comfortable for a longer stay.

Horizon parking is shocking we followed all the procedures purchased a ticket and entered our Car reg on the TABLET ON THE RECEPTION WALL :) But because HORIZON PARKING said we did not pay and wanted proof of our ticket OR we would be fined £30 :( So, I phone Torquay reception, and they told us to just quote our Booking reference as this happens a lot, E-Mail Horizon again still asking for proof of our car parking ticket or pay £ 80 :) E-Mail HORIZON again explaining that we followed all the Procedures still no joy and a final demand of £ 80 :( :( :( SO PLZ KEEP YOUR PARKING TICKET) PS WE WILL NOT USE TRAVEL LODGE AGAIN

Staff extremely helpful. Room clean and tidy . No road noise. Meal options limited but what we ordered...veg pizza and salad was delicious. Breakfast good too.

I stayed with my daughter for 3 nights, it was a comfortable base for visiting places nearby over half term but sound proofing to room above where a family of rhinoceros were staying, was not the best.

We visited Torquay as we had a relative in hospital there. We booked this hotel last minute and were happy we did. The staff were lovely. We arrived late in the evening and the bar was still staffed so we could sit and have a drink after a long drive. The room was clean and comfortable. The bath was a little stained. You can walk to the seafront in about 20 mins where there are lots of bars and restaurants. Hotel is in very easy reach of Torquay Hospital so ideal for anyone needing to be close if you have family in hospital.
