"I have travelled a great deal , the Liscawn is not a hotel it is a bed and breakfast . We arrived on Friday to be shown to our room by a very polite member of the Adams family . We settled in to our room then headed for the bar. It was empty but they did serve us to bottled drinks. My request for a sandwich won a startled gaze but they did raid their refrigerator. Breakfast was OK , had to find son of lurch to request more tea toast etc. We did tell them we would be eating in. Went to the restaurant at night , menu looked very unappetising chicken goujon and chips , sausage and mash .I went for the fish and chips expecting fresh cod , but got something hard and crispy like a burnt captain bird's-eye leftover. After that we eat at lunchtime and got our evening meal from Sainsburys. Two days we were the only guests but one day it did rise to 8. A beautiful hotel but wouldn't go back"

"We stopped off here on the off chance of a drink and snack being after 2pm. Very cosy feel to this lovely pub. Landlady was very welcoming as were the customers at the bar. Kitchen was just closing but very happy to cook our snack. 8oz Steak medium rare sandwich and fries which was delicious. My better half had fully loaded fries and totally enjoyed. This lovely pub has a bar area and a restaurant area and outside garden. We need to go back as we wish to try there pies. So nice to chat to the owners a very welcoming local pub. Keep the good work up."

"Agree entirely with a previous review in April 2023. Not an hotel, just a B&B with bar and a very limited menu. Mrs "Adams" just wanted to talk at us. The son, considerably older than 21, came up to us in the bar and said his mother would be with us soon to serve us drinks. Clearly he was not authorized to. Why? So we waited another 5 --10 mins for her to appear. No hot water in room - neither shower nor wash basin. Reactions were "we know one of the hot water timers is faulty, but it's nearly time for annual maintenance" and "we have plenty of hot water in the kitchens" !!!. Was i supposed to shower in the kitchens? No compensation offered on checkout. Beware very daunting steep narrow staircase to all the rooms. The very same son did take our bags upstairs on arrival, but was nowhere to be seen on departure. The corner shower was very cramped, but the doors only opened halfway so it was difficult to squeeze in, I am not very large 5ft9 and 13st. There was no bath mat to step out on nor soap. Only a wall mounted shower gel dispenser in the shower. We shall not go back even though the beds were comfortable, and a reasonable hospitality tray and kettle on the dressing table which just reached the power"

"We visited the Halfway House while staying in the area on 2 occasions and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The level of service was great, the staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. This was matched by the food, which again was excellent. The presentation was a feast, as the saying goes, you eat with your eyes and the view certainly doesn't disappoint. Would quite happily visit again if we're in the area, would thoroughly recommend, never judge a book by it's cover as you need to enter to sample the delights. "

"Un bonito pub con dos grandes habitaciones, excelentes accesorios como nevera, ventilador y radiador de petróleo, además de un gran baño y ducha fuerte. La mejor cosa, sin embargo, fue la amistad y la ayuda del personal, Gemma, Sally, Sophie y el chico que cocinaba un desayuno de primera clase, seguido de una tolerancia super perro. La comida en el desayuno y la noche fue muy excelente con una buena selección de cervezas, cider, vinos o bebidas a precios razonables."
