Best Western Hi-Desert Inn

Booked directly through BW for a three queen room. Was given a room with two beds instead. When we spoke to the front desk, she said the manager had told her they overbooked and to give us the smaller room and charge $35 for a rollaway. The woman said that didn’t seem right so she’d give us that for free. When I asked for clarification that they are charging us full rate for a room we didn’t book because it doesn’t have the right amount of beds, she said yes and that the manager told her that we (the guests) can figure it out on our own. The woman stated she could do a 10% discount because it didn’t seem right but I’d have to verify it in the morning. The man in the morning (manager’s son) said that there was nothing he could do, no discount, no apology. He claimed our rate was $20 more than it was supposed to be therefore we already received a discount. When I asked him to clarify that a two bed room is the same price as a three bed, he said, well normally it’s $30 less but then went back to claiming the higher rate despite what my reservation listed for the larger room. He then went on to blame us for booking on third party site and finally after looking up our reservation admitted that we booked directly from BW. I’ve never experienced such gaslighting and unwillingness to make things right for the customer. The breakfast staff and everyone else was nice but the manager and her son failed at their jobs and their attitudes of blaming the customer were ridiculous.

This was a wonderul place to stay, especially in this area. Everything was clean and comfortable. The shower water pressure was amazing which is something I usually always have issues with at hotels. The staff were friendly and breakfast was very well taken care. Plenty of options were available. I will stay again when traveling in the area.

Don’t stay here. They use noxious chemicals on the carpet to clean pet smells as it is a “pet friendly” hotel. They don’t differentiate between guest rooms for pet owners and T hose without. Thus, if you have asthma and get a mean allergic reaction that lasts for two weeks, it’s just too bad for you. If you’ve got a stay at this place at the beginning of your trip- you’re out of luck, aren’t you? DONT STAY HERE!

This hotel was what we would expect from a Best Western Hotel clean nice rooms and a free breakfast. The price like most hotels nowadays keep rising and had it been a little lower it would have got a higher rating. It is a nice place to stay though

Our room was very clean and spacious - we had the two room suite. The hot breakfast was great with several options and very friendly staff. Tonopah brewery across the street was a good dinner choice. We also made a quick trip up the street to the Tonopah Historic Mining Park

Excellent experience at the Best Western! I had a film I was doing in the area! Very clean, enjoyed a very good free breakfast, staff extremely friendly, e joyed the workout area, I would come back with my family! Thank you for a very good experience!
