Accommodation was good breakfast service was very poor took 15mins to order cooked breakfast and had to wait 3/4 hour for the breakfast to arrive ,children got bored & went back to room.1 person cooking & 3 staff waiting to serve breakfast complained to hotel reception & advised nothing to do with them .Breakfast was booked with hotel & had to book a time so they knew how many were arriving for breakfast

Dreadful experience with the Beefeater restaurant. The Hilden Manor restaurant had not been receiving deliveries from their catering supplier, so the menu was in their words 'very limited'. What on earth was going on there, if your current supplier could not get food for you. You should do something to make sure you are giving a high level of service to your customers. Simply telling them that the menu will be very limited, falls way below the standard of service, I would expect from a Beefeater.

We stayed overnight on October 15 prior to visiting Chartwell, about 7 milers away. Clearly standard Premier Inn operation but everything well upto standard. Check in lady was particularly friendly & helpful as was the breakfast waitress the following morning. Car park was being set up with portacabins, apparently for a major refurbishment. Our only negative : traffic noise with the window open.

Having been here before the cut backs were notable. No biscuits in the room. No bath mat, no standard daily room cleaning. (There wasn't even a toilet brush in the bathroom). Cleaning, extra towels, bath mat extra needs to be requested from reception. BUT there was no phone in the room to contact reception. There was often no staff on reception and twice, when the bell on reception was rung, no-one turned up at the desk. The floor, in the bathroom (room 15) was very uneven and covered up with the floor covering. There was no plug socket, by the bed, for 1. charging phones that need to be used as an alarm or in an emergency. 2. For medical equipment e.g. CPAP machine. The light in the room, during the day was dull. The lighting at night was poor. No mirror by the dressing table and very poor lighting at the dressing table. Positives, it was clean and the staff were friendly.

The hotel was not up tp Premier Inn standards. We found out that the restaurant was closed at time of check in , so had to.search about for fpod after 6pm. Reception said ' just ordet jist eat' when asked about nearby places ! The room was grubby, tired and the air con didnt work . Breakfast was just passable but the restaurant had sticky carpets and there was an unpleasant smell of damp , so didnt eat there in the evening or next day breakfast. The location was ideal for our needs though so ...but thats the positive .

This hotel needs a full refurb, system was so slow to check in and add meal deals, beefeater closed due to no staff so couldn’t have breakfast or dinner the day after check in. Rooms were so hot and no air conditioning, fans provided but didn’t help. Most worrying was the smell of mould in the rooms
