Wickaninnish Inn

Wonderful location and amenities as well as staff. OTOH, the Pointe restaurant is not great, overly pretentious and expensive. There are much better alternatives in town.

Great hotel in a gorgeous location. First class service and excellent meals. The front desk people were easy to deal with and ready to serve. No complications at all.

We had been to Wickaninnish Inn twice before, staying both times in a Premier Room in the Pointe Building. Obviously we loved our experiences as we decided to make a third trip and spent five nights in late March, this time in the Beach Building in the Chesterman Beach Loft. We had high expectations but did not anticipate how absolutely 'wowed' we would be in spite of almost five days of inclement weather. The room was beyond anything we had imagined. The views from all rooms were extraordinary. The room amenities were exceptional. Staff support was flawless. A special shout-out to the t.v. technician (I think his name was Logan) who assisted us diligently with a minor t.v. problem. There are so many small touches throughout the suite that made it special, but I was specially taken with the actual tree branches that served as stairway balusters. We came resigned that this would be our last trip (over 2,000 miles for us) due to our age and finances. But we came away determined to return at least once more to enjoy the Chesterman Beach Loft, the casual elegance of the Inn, and the incredible natural environment surrounding it. I do need to include one caveat to someone reading this and considering the Chesterman Loft. Noise does travel from the lower floor up to the bedroom area. It would be extremely difficult for someone trying to sleep if children or a partner were watching t.v. or chatting downstairs.
