Ocean Village Resort

We stayed in an oceanfront upper studio for our family of 4, for 3 nights. We originally planned for 2 but our car broke down so we had to take it to a local shop and extend our stay one night. The best part of this resort is its location. It is right on Mackenzie Beach and also walking distance from local shops (Tofitian, Wild Grill, Tofino Chocolate, Beaches Grocery and a surf shop). It is also a 15 min walk from The Fish Store, Tofino Brewing, a distillery and the local auto repair shop). The beach is great for watching waves crash, surfing and beach-combing. The resort is also pet friendly. The room we had was tight for 4 and I spied a few cobwebs in the washroom. The shower curtain didn’t cover the shower all the way as the roof is curved; so I had to pin the curtain down to make sure water didn’t escape. The upper rooms all have a balcony. This room had a smaller one compared to others (suite 37). Before the beach is a large grassy area for kids to play and for picnics. Housekeeping came daily (upon request) and would change out our towels and throw out our garbage and recycling. We used their on site laundry facilities which were very convenient. $8 total for wash, dry and detergent (one load). The pool and hot tub facilities are great but access to it was off/on. It was spring break,any families were using the pool so the resort’s maintenance team would have to make sure the pool was cleaned and up to health standards. Sometimes the pool was closed for more than an hour a day but there’s much more to do around the area. The front desk was very helpful and the resort has a virtual concierge so you can text the front desk with your questions or if you need something specifically. We enjoyed our extended stay at this resort and will be back, but next time will see if we can book a bigger room instead if it’s within our budget.

Took my small family and 78 yo mom who was visiting from out of province to stay for my birthday weekend. We had a wonderful time. We will not forget this visit. The sunset was surreal, The views spectacular and it’s a healing magical place. We will 100% be returning. ❤️

Always meet our expectations. Great locations. We've always stayed at Ocean Village when we visit Tofino. Right on the beach, easy to sure and walk. Great if you have pets too.
