Cedar Meadows Resort & Spa

Cedar Meadows Resort and Spa exceeded any expectations that I had. The friendly staff, clean room, comfortable bed, delicious food in the restaurant and excellent spa services made for a memorable weekend. Chandee, Hrishi in the dinning room and Amber in the spa were impeccable. Thank you for being so wonderful.

Its a dirty dump. The carpets have not been washed in what appears to be decades. The "resort" is an incorrect label of what it is. I was fortunate to go see it before booking. Looks more like an old retirement home, and I am being generous. To use the spa you must reserve so much in advance that it defeats the purpose.

I stayed here August 16th, and Sept 24th. My first stay as usual the spa was excellent, the food was excellent. But there was a wedding right outside of our window which we were not informed about. The wedding music was blasting until 3am and afterwards the people were running up and down the halls screaming so we did not sleep a wink to say the least. After making a complaint we were offered a free stay and decided to take time away from the kids and try again. The spa again was excellent we had facials and did the Nordic baths, and had a jacuzzi room. Yet again, the people across the hall were screaming and partying until 4am until my husband asked them to quiet down. We had to call the reception again at 7am as they were still yelling and screaming non stop. So to say the least, the walls are paper thin and there doesn't seem to be any noise regulations in the hotel so that people can actually get some rest. No one seems to notice the excessive noise or do anything to prevent it which is very disappointing. So in 2 stays in 2 months, I slept less here than I did with a newborn at home that we were supposed to be vacationing away from... at least we didn't hear the wedding this time.

We decided to treat ourselves after a busy Christmas and book a stay at our favorite place in Timmins to kick back and relax, and we were not disappointed! The Junior Suite (jacuzzi & fireplace) is a great choice if you’d like to enjoy yourself without ever leaving your room. That being said, you’ll want to enjoy the resort and experiences during your stay! Our room was immaculately clean when we arrived, just turn on the fireplace and jacuzzi and you’re ready to unwind. After your jacuzzi you can rinse off in the large shower in your room that comes equipped with two shower heads! We always enjoy the restaurant for dinner, the food and beverages never disappoint. The staff at the resort is what makes this place so great, from check in to check out you’re always well taken care of. Can’t wait to try out the Sleeping With the Wolves experience!

We've always enjoyed Cedar Meadows as a great spot for a staycation in Timmins. The grounds are beautiful, they have a great nature bath spa, comfortable jacuzzi rooms. The staff at the restaurant/bar are amazing, and the front desk staff is always very helpful. You can even walk down the road and see the swans swimming in a small lake! We would like to extend a huge thank you to the staff at Cedar Meadows, as well as the owner of the property for making this by far our most memorable stay yet!

Loved the Nordic Bath experience, restaurant was fabulous. Unfortunately the beds in our room were horrible . We will come back, but as day visitors, to enjoy the spa and the Nordic Bath maybe have dinner. Definitely not spending another night.

Had an amazing experience at the hotel and Sean & Lindsay at the restaurant were so receptive and nice! The ambiance at the hotel is amazing and the all round staff are beautiful! The check in staff were nice …. But kudos too all off them! The food at the restaurant also is amazing!

Went here for a family dinner. The staff were very nice and our server Lise Anne was very nice, attentive without being pushy, and looked after our needs. Very pleasant to chat with. Too bad we can't say the same about the food (at least some of it). We ordered a Caesar Salad (Small $11) that had store bought croutons and Japanese Gyoza dumplings ($15) that were very tasty. The dumplings gave us hope for our mains. The 12 oz Prime Rib ($40) slices were ok. Done as ordered, but felt like they were mechanically put together. Came with obviously frozen vegetables and a Yorkshire Pudding that was hopefully from a package and overcooked, otherwise it was the driest I have ever had. The Crispy Chicken Parma ($34) was just ok as well. Everything on the plate seemed like it was store bought. Turtle Cheesecake ($9) saved the meal and was very good. Local craft beer ($7/can) and 9 oz. red and white wine ($11 & $12) were good and reasonably priced. Disappointed - the restaurant presents as fine dining, especially with their prices, but felt no better than local diner food. For $234 for three, I expected much better. Been there, done that, will try elsewhere in the future.

Wagon ride was super fun, got to get up close to the deer and Buffalo. We were told next year there will be wolves. Everyone was really nice, not too busy either. Definitely recommend if you love nature or if you have children. Tractor driver was super knowledgeable.
