The Croft Resort - Premium Farm Stay

This place is middle of nowhere located deep inside the coconut grove, very well planned semidetached cottages with terrace access and all the room amenities you would expect from 3/ 4 star hotel. The staffs were very friendly and helpful, the food was simple, neat and homely. You just need to preorder your meal few hours earlier.

While our expectations around the setting and vibe of the place were completely met, we were quite disappointed with the service and staff. This farm stay is a rustic cottage nestled amidst a beautiful coconut grove and you almost feel like there is no boundary between you and nature. But that is where the bliss ends. The staff is quite weak when it comes to service. And the worst part was the front office staff even fleeced us when we requested them to book a cab to the airport. They charged us an obscene amount for a 15-minute ride to the airport, and didnt even give a fraction of it to the driver who drove us(which we realized much later!) Not the kind of hospitality or service you would expect from a charming farm stay like this. LOCATION: just 15 minutes away from Tuticorin airport, as well a quick ride away from other attractions of the region - including the famed Tiruchendur temple. DINE + DRINK: Nicely decorated restaurant but the Chef was from Bengal - who could neither prepare any Bengali-style food we had requested nor make authentic regional cuisine for dinner. Breakfast was good though. ROOM: We stayed in Room 104, so this review is based on that; VIEW: Sweet view of the gardens and grove from the sitout; SIZE: Spacious enough for 2 adults and simple baggage; AIR-CON: A tired Airconditioner, that barely kept the room cool enough; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part of putting me to sleep; BATHROOM: Stand-in shower; TOILETRIES: Very pool quality toiletries, better to bring your own. FACILITIES: No Gym on site, but they have a fantastic swimming pool that is great for a full-on aqua workout! There is also a nice GAME ROOM inside the property packed with a lot of board games, digital consoles, and other items—perfect place to bond with your partner or family. SERVICE: While the staff took care of all our needs with a smile, they have a long way to go when it comes to quality service!! HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free high-speed Wi-Fi that works well all over the property. Television in the room comes with Tata Sky digital subscription streaming a wide variety of channels spanning sports, news, music, movies, and entertainment in multiple languages
