Stylish Lakefront Retreat with Sauna and Dock - Tranquil Escape

Stylish lakefront home with large deck, covered patio, and indoor sauna. Private dock includes kayaks for your enjoyment. Indoors you will discover modern details and a wood stove for those cold winter nights. The lower level has an indoor sauna and den with TV. Plenty of space for your group to enjoy their time in the Catskills.

Large back decks and a patio to enjoy the lakefront breezes, sunsets, and stars here in the Catskills. Deck includes a grill and table seating for 8. The patio under the deck includes a hammock. There is an outdoor fireplace on the deck.

Bedrooms and Bathrooms are as follows:

Main Level:

Bedroom 1: King Bed, Closet

Bedroom 2: Double Bed, Chest of Drawers

Bedrooms 1 and 2 share a bathroom with tub on the main level

Lower Level:

Bedroom 3: Queen Bed, Two Twin Beds, Dresser

Den: Sofa Bed. Television

All spaces on the lower level share a bathroom w/ a shower.

Guest Access:

You will have access to the main house and outdoor areas including the dock. The driveway is paved and very large. Guests should not park on the street.

The Neighborhood:

Swinging Bridge Reservoir is the largest largest lake in the Sullivan Catskills, and one of the few that allows motor boats. You'll feel removed from the city, but still within 20 minutes of groceries and things to do. The neighborhood is a mix of seasonal homes and year round residents. A public boat launch is nearby, and just around the corner are two full services marinas--Starlight and Swinging Bridge Marinas.

Getting Around:

I recommend having car for your stay. Taxis are available, but ride sharing services are more sparse. Rental car services are available in Monticello.Shortline Coach Bus Service provides service between New York City and Monticello as well.

Otisville and Port Jervis Metro North Stations are each approximately 30 minutes drive from the house. The trip from NY Penn Station to Otisville is about 2 hours. Train access is great if you have members of your group who need to arrive/depart at different times.

Things To Know:

The dock is not available from early November until the lake has thawed and levels stabilize in late spring.This home is limited to 2 dogs. Dogs must be crated if you are away from the property, no exceptions.
