Ambara Suites

It is close to the airport and we had a very comfortable 1 night stay. They upgraded both our rooms to the king suites. Staff is very helpful and accomodating. It was much appreaciated especially since I was travelling with aged parents. The breakfast spread needs to be upgraded.

We had a 2-night stay in the hotel in Dec'24. We felt that the experience was below average and could have been better, especially for 1 reason in particular - 1. Buffet Breakfast - I cannot recall when was the last time I had such a bad experience of a buffet breakfast. It felt as if the hotel did not care at all about the breakfast. The restaurant area looked gloomy. The staff looked extremely tired, sleepy and slow. The breakfast spread was limited and nothing great in taste. The entire set-up was dull. 2. Gloomy room - Now this is very much personal. We felt that the vibe of the room given to us was depressing. There was nothing "happy" about the room, just a practical ensemble of stuff that evoked no feeling of joy. Though the entire was spacious, it lacked character. 3. Horrible TV - It seemed like the theme of our trip to Kerala was that wherever we stayed, we had to deal with the worst TVs/remotes. Like the other hotels we stayed in this trip, the TV and the remote In this hotel were simply horrible and outdated. It would be unfair if we only called out the problems without mentioning the Good part about the property - 1. Spacious and practical room 2. General cleanliness 3. Prompt Service - housekeeping 4. Proximity to the airport We think that this is a practical property which might be more suited for corporate travellers.

Despite diligently making a booking and paying in advance, my excitement morphed into seething frustration when the manager callously dropped the bomb about an unexpected overbooking debacle. Their so-called solution? A pitiful alternative hotel that not only failed to meet expectations but plunged well below any reasonable standard. The room was a sorry excuse for accommodation, lacking basic amenities, and the service was nothing short of a disgrace. It became painfully evident that this establishment was a pit of despair compared to the original booking. As if that wasn't enough, the hotel's continuous stalling tactics exacerbated the situation. Their empty assurances of diligently working on a solution proved to be nothing but a cruel joke, leaving us in perpetual limbo and scrambling to explore alternative options. In the end, we reluctantly opted to cancel our booking, a decision that left us not just in agony but utterly disheartened by the utter lack of professionalism displayed. The ensuing refund process added insult to injury, turning into an excruciating ordeal of endless follow-ups, far more effort and time-consuming than anyone should ever have to endure. To sum it up, my experience with this abysmal hotel was a concoction of overbooking nightmares, a woeful alternative, and an excruciatingly drawn-out battle for a refund. Potential guests beware – this place is a breeding ground for disappointment, and their overbooking antics may very well turn your stay into a regrettable and infuriating ordeal.

I feel compelled to caution potential guests about the risks associated with their overbooking practices and the subsequent inconvenience that might overshadow what should have been a pleasant stay.

I went to Ambara Suites just a few days ago and I have to say that I was very pleased! The interior design is aesthetically pleasing! My friends and I were pleasantly surprised by the Chef Biju’s specialty mango salad, it was tasty and refreshing. Another favorite was the chicken 65 which was nicely spiced and crispy! I would definitely come back again to try the rest of the menu!

The ambience was excellent. Food delicious. They have a variety of dishes. Pricing also affordable. The staff were very pleasing too. They had roof top, restaurant and an excellent bar. We had the chance to directly talk to the chef to discuss on various dishes they prepare
