El hotel está compuesto por dos cuerpos. Eso más cerca del mar, más viejo. Muebles cansados, oscuros en la habitación. A lo largo de la carretera renovado. Habitaciones con la salida yo vista a la piscina. Todo es grandioso! Muy bueno desayuno. El mar está cerca. Algunas piscinas. Desde los abajo - en muy pocas habitaciones de madera a la piscina. No teníamos. Es incómodo salir de la piscina, se puede deslizar. Las cucharas son muy altas y sólidas. No he encontrado una cómoda, aunque son cuatro. El baño tiene muy poco gel y champú (por favor, por favor, en una botella pequeña).

La habitación es única, olvidé tomar fotografías. Todo el hotel tiene un ambiente hermoso y el personal del hotel es muy acogedor y tiene un buen servicio. Además, la comida en el restaurante del hotel es muy rica, tuve tres comidas por mi cuenta en el hotel en dos días, sin ningún error, y los cócteles también estaban deliciosos. Es muy conveniente llegar a Similan. El atardecer es hermoso

This is not a holiday for anyone who is not capable of walking. All of the rooms involve needing to go upstairs or walk for a while and there's not very even-footing available for those that can't walk very far. Even just to get into the lobby or into the restaurant you need to be able to walk upstairs a lot. When you first arrive they do give you a quick rundown of all of the facilities available and they supply a map. Then someone will escort you to your room via golf cart. The front desk staff are very informative and helpful. The staff in the restaurant are very quick but not particularly informative. The first time you walk in nobody explained how the buffet works. You should approach the staff and give them your punch card before you get food. The masseuse was excellent. This part of the resort actually has quite a few restaurants and shops and a pharmacy in the area which is different to a lot of the hotels in Khao lak, so that actually makes it much better than some other places where you would have to get a taxi into the town centre to see anything. The beach is beautiful and perfect for people that like to see little creatures as there are plenty of crabs around.

Our stay at Merlin Khao Lak was pretty great. We had a week there, and sincerely enjoyed the feeling of staying in a contained and nicely taken care of rain forest by the beach. The location was nearly perfect, but the beach itself wasn't very swimmable (beginning of rain season, to be fair). Fortunately, there were other beaches on the same coast that were nicer during the same time of year, so we did get time in the sea water. Even without sea swimming, the ambience from the waves and the sunsets made the beach plenty nice for us at Merlin. There is also a variety of nicepy kept pools to enjoy, though I typically don't enjoy pools personally. Service/food were both nice as well. The staff was pleasant enough, but it did feel weird that an ecologically minded resort had the least meat/dairy alternatives of any of the several resorts/hotels we stayed at. I found ordering curries with no seafood or meat simple though, and they were mostly still good. The massaman curry was a miss, but everything else I tried was quite good for resort food! We really loved the touch of the room's default tv channel being an info channel about the resort's wildlife and maintenance. That, plus the several info booklets allowed us to have a more guided and knowledgeable experience while sightseeing on the exceptional grounds. It was really fun running into others who were also just having a look around and waiting to see a different animal pop up. We enjoyed our stay. Next time we'd likely come back, while also spending some time up the coast a bit.
