Gower View Luxury Bed & Breakfast

We stayed in a large room with a king-size bed it was very clean and tidy with extra ammuntities eg fudge and bottled water and fresh milk.Also had a small kitchenette with tea and coffee facilities. We had a good view and outside table and chairs where we enjoyed a cup of tea and slice of home made cherry cake. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty with homemade bread toasted. The owner Janey was lovely very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our wedding anniversary weekend immensely.

In all of our travels I don't think we were ever more warmly welcomed and attended to. Janey and her brother Rod are the perfect hosts. Our room in the house was large, airy and beautifully decorated and designed. There is a closet to hang your clothes and several drawers for other articles. There are night tables on both sides of the bed with lamps and tissues as well as plugs for charging electronics. The table and chairs placed next to the balcony doors allowed us to enjoy breakfast indoors, but with a breeze coming in the open doors. I enjoyed a morning cup of coffee sitting on the balcony which has 2 chairs and a small table, with a view to the garden where we watched the birds feed at the feeders. There is also a lovely view where the water is visible in the distance. There are cookies, tea, coffee and hot chocolate available in the room, replenished each day. The bathroom is well thought out with a large shower with grab bars and a pull-down seat if wished. Great water pressure and plenty of hot water are available. Jayne was enormously helpful in aiding us in our daily adventures. She made great suggestions and responded to our choices by printing up maps and information about our destinations. Incredible! We wound up having a flat tire and Rod and Jayne found a tyre store and gave us easy directions to access it and our tyre was repaired. Gower View Luxury Bed and Breakfast is located just outside of Tenby. We wound up going to Saundersfoot, an easy and quick drive each morning to walk the path there along the water. I had corresponded several times before our arrival and Jayne was very responsive in answering my questions and making recommendations. Oh how we wish we lived closer and were able to come back again and again. Definitely have a meal at the award-winning restaurant Stone Crab in Saundersfoot, a 10 minute drive. A 20 minute drive will take you to Rib n Oyster for a fantastic meal in Kilgetty. Be sure to visit Manorbier for a gorgeous walk, Barafundle Bay, the Stackpole and Bosherston Lily Pond trail. Just ask Jayne and she'll help you out with fantastic recommendations of castles, beaches, trail walks.

What can you say about Gower View, it was amazing! I booked this place as a quiet getaway for Valentines weekend for my wife and I, and it certainly didn't disappoint. The location is fantastic, (rural, adjacent to woodland with amazing views), and the lodge was just perfect. The attention to detail is evident in all aspects, real thought has been put into the the decoration and everything that is in the lodge is high quality and essential for a break. Janey is with no doubt one of the nicest B&B owners I have ever met, she kindly organised flowers and bubbles for our arrival, her breakfast's were excellent, and we had a lovely catch up with her and Roger on the Sunday morning. She answered all my questions and emails within an hour and we felt as though we had known them for years. This has now become "Our special place" and we will be returning at our next opportunity. Additional information - Taxi's in and out of Tenby town centre from Gower View are roughly £10-£11 each way. We ate at "The Stable" restaurant in Tenby, highly recommended, fantastic food (local lobster) and customer service, family run.
