Bachar House

We reserved the more expensive room, but were given a room with no option to open the blinds, so no natural light. Very weird. I immediately went to reception and pointed out that We came from the bombarded Gallilee and I'm not interested to stay the whole vacation in a "safe room" (mamad). We were told that all rooms were like this (?!?) but then were "upgraded" to a room with a balcony that did have natural light. The room had a weird musty smell but was spacious and pretty. bed was very comfortable. The hotel is supposedly a kid free hotel (18+) but there was a very loud little girl running about in the lounge, which wasn't very impressive anyway. Breakfast was at the excellent Rothchild 22 next door. Rothchild 22 is our "go to" hotel, the lounge is much fancier and the hotel much nicer. We gave Bachar house a try, but will not be staying there again. much rather stay at Rothchild 22.

Pros: Location location location. Nicely designed, Itamar at the reception was always kind and nice. Comfortable bed. Parking was great. Cons: small room, no desk as promised, crowded breakfast with long queue, no lobby to sit while waiting to check in. Bad smell in reception while checking in.

Very pleasant boutique hotel in fantastic location - easy 15 - 25 min walk to beach, Jaffa, Carmel Market, white city. Staff were super great - friendly and helpful. We needed to change rooms so my son (studying) could have a desk - no problem sorted the next morning. Really enjoyed the lounge and appreciate the complimentary coffee. cheese and wine. a nice touch. It isn't a 300 room anonymous brand name hotel - for us that is a plus others might thing differently.

During our 1 weeks stay in Tel Aviv the Bachar House became our home. This boutique hotel has everything you are looking for and even more… Clean room and bathroom with all the needed amenities and a comfortable bed. Nespresso coffee and every day a new complimentary bottle of water, not to mention the complementary white wine upon arrival and some sweets with a card on valentines day. Delicious breakfast with a large variety buffet - perfect to start a busy day. And most important: super nice staff from the housekeeping, spa and front desk that always had time and passion to give us good advices on how to travel around the country and what not to miss out and there and then open to a chat. Before arriving we received an email to complete our check-in - no need to fill out more forms when arriving. So upon arrival we were able to enjoy a glass of Cava and just listen to the facilities available to us. On the first floor there is a common space with comfortable sofas, nice musik and a great choice of consumables - throughout the day always freshly filled up: fresh vegetables, cheese, olives, crackers, biscuits, tea, great quality Nespresso coffee, water, beer, Cava, 2 sorts of red wines, rosé and white wine. After a busy day sightseeing, it was a wonderful way to calm down, relax and recharge the batteries. Everyday we felt like coming home. The hotel is perfectly situated (nice bars and restaurants around) and we were able to do all the sightseeing by foot or to walk to the next train station. And when you are there, make sure not to miss out the spa…after walking 20km in Jerusalem, the massage the next day was just amazing. We wish the crew of the Bachar House all the best - THANK YOU ALL for having made our stay such a perfekt one!

Me and my family members first trip to Tel Aviv from UAE and staying here felt like home, from outstanding service,comfortable beds and a great location. We are so blessed and happy with the hospitality

petit hôtel très bien - super emplacement l'accueil y est remarquable!!! Bravo la chambre est grande, très calme avec une très bonne literie... les fenêtres sont un peu petites en fonction des chambres il manque une grande piscine pour que le séjour soit parfait
