Te Anau Central Backpackers

沒有臨湖畔有一點小小可惜，走到街上不遠，算是一個鬧中取靜的位置，設備蠻新的使用起來很順手方便，雖然隔音不太好，所幸住客住的分散，沒有很吵。

特別温馨。老闆很熱情，小家住着很舒服很暖和。

Thoroughly concur with other reviews as to how friendly and helpful the desk staff were throughout our three day stay. The communal areas were also very well equipped and clean. Bathroom facilities also good other than a mysterious beige towel that remained in a "landfill" bin inside the bathroom for our entire stay despite the bathroom being serviced? My only problem was with room 12,,situated immediately next to the stairwell (with a storeroom underneath) , so we were exposed to the noise of fellow travellers going up and down the stairs, including late at night and at 5:30 a.m. in the morning. Also has communal BBQ area immediately outside the window. Not a serious issue though until being awakened on the last night of our stay at 11:40 p.m. by insensitive fellow travellers after which a sensor light in the hallway was being triggered every 2-5 minutes (presumably by moths?) which made further sleep impossible. This sensor needs adjustment or the light needs to remain on rather than clicking on and off? Last night ruined an otherwise really good stay.

Amazing stay at Te Anau central backpackers. They have many different type of rooms but all have comfortable beds, thz kitchen and lounges are equipped and clean and the staff is extremely helpful and accommodating! Thanks a lot for the help and advices !

Stayed here for two nights (one on each end of Kepler track) and it was new, clean, and reasonably priced. Great location as well. Where this hostel really stood out, however, was the staff. Everyone was so friendly and willing to help, and the front desk clerk Hamish really went the extra mile by finding us a ride from the end of the trek. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Thank you Hamish and the Te Anau Central backpackers team for a wonderful stay. Great location, relaxed atmosphere, sparkling facilities. The staff are rockstars and went out of their way to make our time in Te Anau fantastic. They show genuine concern for each guest, helping with trip logistics and giving personal recommendations. Wouldn’t have wanted to stay anywhere else for 3 weeks, we’ll be back!
