We got a basic cabin (our room didnt have a personal ref. other rooms beside ours had one. Overall, our stay was great (we even got to see the clear sky with stars in the evening from the camping ground). The shared toilet is great-- clean and with many stalls; also has hair blower available). The shared kitchen is busy during peak hours-- you might want to bring your own pan or pot since the ”nicer” ones are usually being used.

The accomodation is nicely located by the Te Anau Lake with a very nice view and the main street is just a few mins drive away. The kitchenette is well equipped for simple cooking. We enjoyed the stay overall.

We accidently booked the wrong day through an app we used, and we called the Bella Vista Motel immediately to let them know and they were beyond helpful and understanding. It was a non-refundable booking, however within minutes the front of house manager was able to sort the booking and said we could use the booking for the date we actually wanted. Really lovely guy and understanding. The room was clean, facilities were hot and honestly for the money I don't think you could get much better. We stayed at a 4 star hotel in QT and it was rubbish compared to this place. The WIFI was super fast, able to watch films between the 3 of us, download, etc. It had something insane like 1TB of data to use, all free of charge. Had a sink, kettle, all the usual stuff and honestly top class. Well done guys, will stay again if we do another great walk!!

La ubicación es en Te Aru, no hay vista al lago para ver, se tarda unos 2 o 3 minutos en caminar hasta el lago, la puerta resulta ser estacionamiento, la cocina abierta, la cocina es un poco como un bar, solo la tostadora puede tostar y remojar. No es muy conveniente hervir agua y cocinar con utensilios. Hay un armario, pero hay una colcha en el armario y las perchas no se pueden sacar. No hay rejilla de secado. El más insatisfecho es el inodoro, el lavabo es demasiado corto, el agua fría y caliente es difícil de ajustar y la flexión es muy incómoda, no porque sea alto, mi altura es media, y luego solo hay una bañera, sino realmente, ¿cuántos individuos ahora pueden acostarse en la bañera? La mayoría tiene duchas, por lo que solo puede pararse en la bañera y la ducha, y el inodoro está en el baño de al lado. Para ser honesto, los moteles están por todas partes en Te Anau. Pero en zonas de alta montaña, no es demasiado exigente.
