ASURE Prince Motor Lodge

小而整潔的汽車旅館，前台老爺爺很nice，有WIFI有微波爐還有個電熱鍋，出門就是湖邊附近餐館也蠻多的，下次來Taupo還會入住。

When first arrived, it was getting late and went to book in. The person was having problem with my wife card, so l pulled my card out to use, he wanted to know if we had credit card and we said no. Then he said you have to pay a bond because he mentioned there were problem he had. Due to being late we did, which my card had already worked. This female voice behind the glass kept on saying what the price of the room was. When we arrived to the room, we were very disappointed, the glass table has chipped edges which was very dangerous and sharp. The Tv we could not get any station, the one in the bedroom you could get some station. The place was very outdated and needed a lot of attention to bring it up to standard. The bathroom was terrible, the shower when you turned it on sprayed at you which made it difficult when it got warmed. For what we got charged was a disgraced. The next morning we went to hand the key to the room and the person got his fellow worker to check the room in case we done damage to it, mind you the room was way below standard. She came back so we could get our bond money, then said at least the TV is still there. Firstly the TVs are worth about $50.00 if we were going to steal them and sell them, probably a little bit difficult as we are from Australia and don’t know any one here in New Zealand. Over all the experience left us with the conclusion they were disgusting people shown very little RESPECT to their guest and need to educate themselves. In conclusion I would highly recommend not to book at this motel as the way they treat people is unprofessional.

We were in Taupo for the 70.3 Ironman World Championships and the Asure Prince Motor Lodge was a great place to be based - 1 block away from transition and 10 minute walk to the swim start. Plus it was only a short walk to the main restaurant/shopping area. Ron is a great manager who goes out of his way to make your stay great. Will stay there for my next visit to Taupo.
