Coming out of the Gather Round, accommodation options in the city were a bit thin on the ground with my usuals either being booked out or wanting a frankly obscene amount of money per night. Browsing around and I found the Peninsula - it was a bit out of the way and was wanting a far more reasonable rate per night, and given it looked like it had been done up fairly recently, I figured why not, let's give it a shot. I stayed in their two-bedroom suite, and first impression - wow! Big living area with a kitchenette with full size fridgereezer, microwave, kitchen sink and dining table with plenty of dishes available; a lovely lounge area with a huge television and comfortable seating and a split system air conditioner with individual control. The bedrooms each had a double bed with plenty of pillows and were very comfortable, along with pool towels being provided for the outdoor pool. Each room also had its own individually controlled air conditioner. The bathroom was excellent in the room, with a huge shower with great water pressure, as well as toiletries provided (including liquid hand soap albeit in miniature tube form) We had dinner at the onsite restaurant - great service, reasonable pricing and a great atmosphere there. Parking was free and plentiful; the upper floor rooms have elevator access and no complaints for noise from other rooms. I'd happily stay here again in the future!
