Dar Lala Zhour

We had the most wonderful and welcoming experience with Hicham and his family at Dar Lala Zhour - especially the homemade food, fresh Morrocan mint tea and breakfasts on the terrace made this stay unforgettable. Hicham is a very experienced host and guide to the region and made us experience an outstanding travel back in time. We felt very well accompanied and taken care of by Hicham, be it during the transfer from and to Fez, the local market visit or the live Arabic translation during the pottery sessions in Aïn Bouchrik. If you want to experience an authentic time, connecting with people and nature we highly recommend this unique family homestay.

Very beautiful house sit on the magnificent mountain. It’s located in a small village, everyone is so friendly! I had a great time staying there. Hicham was a great guide and host, very knowledgeable and passionate about his region, which he aims to improve and bring more diverse income for the local people. You will see lots donkeys, where you can also go for a hike. life and time slows down there. I spent a week there and learning pottery from Hicham’s family. They hosted me with amazing meals everyday, introduce me to their life. I would highly recommend for anyone seeks a different way of travelling to visit this place and spent some time in that beautiful region.

We stayed at Hicham and Hayeds (and their sweet little daughters) beautiful place for 3 nights and had an absolutely great time. They were friendly and helpful and made us feel right at home. We particularly enjoyed the cooking class at the house and a tour the market nearby is also great fun. You can also do some hiking there - to the next village or to the mountain peak. Hope to be back some day:)

Comfort, relaxation, warm welcome, generosity, cleanliness, hygiene, family atmosphere, delicious local food, fresh spring water, , this is what you get when you pay a visit to Dar Lalla Zhour. The hosts (Hicham, his wife and new born baby Kenza) are just fantastic. We will definitely be calling soon

Nestled away in the hills, a small village, a small B&B, a lovely orchard, and a grand vista of the hills. Hosted by kind people with plates full of food for the hungry traveller. There's a cafe next door where the villagers get together at the end of the day to watch a game or play some cards.

Hicham and Hayat were excellent hosts and we enjoyed their company. All of our meals were taken care of and it was so lovely to experience Moroccan home cooking. We stayed there as part of the ceramic course. We slept well, everything was clean and we had a comfortable stay. The surroundings were tranquil and beautiful. Couldn’t recommend Dar Lala Zhour more!
