"Un pequeño hotel precioso. Las vistas son espectaculares. El personal es de lo más amable y atento, lo que hace que alojarse aquí sea una experiencia fantástica y muy agradable. Llegamos y yo tenía una tos y un resfriado muy fuertes, así que necesitaba dormir (unas 40 horas). Nos trajeron fruta y sopa a la habitación enseguida. Al resto de la familia le ofrecieron opciones de actividades en la zona y nos organizaron el transporte rápidamente. Un equipo increíblemente amable y acogedor. La habitación era preciosa. La piscina es ideal para relajarse. La playa es perfecta para pasear (no se puede nadar allí mismo porque hay un arrecife, pero a 10 minutos andando o 3 minutos en lancha hay muchas playas). ¡Sin duda volveremos!"

"After spending more than five weeks travelling Sri Lanka, this was easily the worst accommodation I encountered. Sri Lanka has been extraordinary — generous, warm, and genuinely welcoming — which makes this property stand out for all the wrong reasons. From early on, there was a clear sense of judgement and discomfort that made both myself and the registered guest (my associate) feel unwelcome. What disturbed me most was the treatment of my associate, who is Sri Lankan. Background conversations in the local language (not directed at us, but clearly about the situation) created the impression that assumptions were being made. The tone felt condescending and left him feeling diminished simply for being local. That kind of subtle discrimination is unacceptable. As a solo traveller, I enjoy meeting people and being social. However, business is business, and nothing about my behaviour or stay was inappropriate. Despite this, I was made to feel scrutinised and judged, even as though I were being viewed as soliciting — an absurd and offensive implication. I want to be fair: the daily manager was genuinely professional, polite, and respectful. Unfortunately, that was not reflected across the wider experience. Other issues included: Unreliable Wi-Fi with frequent outages Ice ordered at 9pm, delivered at midnight Poor-quality, tasteless food Visible termite damage Cheap, uncomfortable furniture Poorly chosen décor No bar fridge Younger staff who appeared overworked and undervalued The property has an oppressive, negative energy. It felt more like a prison than a place of rest. I was relieved to leave early. I attempted to cancel before arrival due to a bad feeling, but the request was denied. That instinct proved right. Sri Lanka is one of the most beautiful countries in the world, and it is a shame that this place stained an otherwise remarkable journey. At least the views of the beach are goodx"

"NOT luxury but still a good standard. Room nice. Vihan the manager is incredibly helpful and kind. He makes the stay. Great to watch turtles from wall at end of garden overlooking beach. Breakfast good. Open to non guests which is annoying, as few sunbeds and people walk of the beach and use the sunbeds having had a meal. Understand it's a business but not good for guests. Restaurant Italian so didn't choose to eat there unless needed a change to remind of home. We were promised a particular room and didn't get it."

"Una opción maravillosa para quienes aman el lujo. Uno de los hoteles más hermosos y nuevos de la isla. Presume de los atardeceres más hermosos y de una playa con tortugas. El menú a la carta ofrece una amplia selección, pero la comida es deliciosa. Durante mi semana aquí, no sentí la necesidad de comer en ningún otro lugar. Hay algunas desventajas: el terreno es muy pequeño y la calle que sale del hotel no tiene aceras, lo que dificulta caminar. Hay algunos problemas de servicio, pero espero que los mejoren. Solo hay un enchufe en el baño, adecuado para cargar un teléfono; hoteles como este deberían tener un cargador tipo C o inalámbrico. Por lo demás, es un lugar maravilloso para relajarse. Nunca me cansé de quedarme aquí una semana."

"A pesar de las numerosas y sutiles referencias al conocido poema de Edward Lear, el hotel Owl and the Pussycat está lejos de ser cursi. Es elegante, sofisticado, espacioso, tranquilo y relajante. El personal es amable pero discreto, atento pero no intrusivo. El hotel está justo en la playa y tiene acceso directo, aunque sospecho que las corrientes dificultarían bastante el baño; sin embargo, cuenta con una piscina preciosa. Un atractivo adicional son los auténticos pescadores con caña que pescan (¡con éxito!) regularmente desde la zona rocosa justo al lado de los jardines. Hay mucho espacio para sentarse con privacidad en los jardines, en cómodos muebles de mimbre, y el bar y el restaurante ofrecen un ambiente acogedor para comer o beber a cualquier hora del día. La comida está exquisitamente cocinada y presentada; de las mejores que probamos durante nuestro viaje por Sri Lanka. No tengo ninguna queja sobre el alojamiento: limpio, luminoso, con una decoración preciosa y muy bien equipado. La ropa de cama era de primera calidad y la ducha, excelente. Las habitaciones son amplias, con balcones o terrazas ajardinadas. Si desean explorar otros espacios, hay una biblioteca y un salón fantástico que merece la pena visitar. Una mañana salimos temprano (a las 5:00) para avistar ballenas y un miembro del personal nos recibió con un desayuno tipo picnic. No lo habíamos solicitado, lo que demuestra la amabilidad del personal. Sin duda, volveríamos al hotel OtPi, ¡ojalá por más de dos días!"
