Let me preface this review: there are two types of holidays, a trip, and a vacation. If you're looking for a ton of stuff to do off-property, this might not be your place. However, if you're looking to unwind for a week in the pool, the JW Marriott Khao Lak property is the place. The Resort Suites are a recent-ish addition to the rest of the property, with a focus on families. We ended up with a ground floor suite on the northeast corner of the property, perfect for direct entry into the amazing pool. The property is immaculately maintained. There are a ton of trees and flowers. They tend to shed leaves into the pool, but the staff does an amazing job all day long keeping it clean. The suite itself was also fantastic, with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a large living/dining area. The outdoor patio that went up to the pool's edge was a fantastic oasis for enjoying coffee every morning while listening to the birds as the sun rose. The housekeeping staff also did a great job taking care of the room, leaving it spotless every day. We opted to book the all-inclusive (minus drinks) package which was the way to go. It included four spa treatments (heavenly), as well as breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily for our entire family. The on-property dining venues were numerous and delicious. I don't think we had a bad meal while we were there. We will definitely be returning someday. Bonus tip: go to the central pond in the evening and see the frogs on the lily pads.
