Motu Beachfront Art Villas

just spent 8 days with 2 beachfront villas. absolutely beautiful, very well kept grounds and accommodations top notch. staff was always willing to help with questions and responsive to all needs. pool area was an extra after snorkeling all day, with an honor bar if needed and BBQ for in house cooking. Best beach and snorkeling on island, kayaks and paddleboard available in addition to snorkeling. change for this year was a new store right across the street, very convenient. theu still have ebikes available which we used alot along with bus when needed Been to MOTU twice, looking forward to next time. had to edit....forgot about the arrival goodies in refrigerator, fruits, drinks, starter breakfast items and a daily newspaper delivered there is much more I have left out. paradise in the south pacific ! jeff and tammy smith

Motu Art Villas is a very special place, quiet with the most beautiful beach in the world literally on your doorstep. The staff are so friendly and helpful- a special shoutout for Mi’i who has been here,apparently, for 21 years! We love the privacy of the self-contained villas each with their own kitchen and lounge area, as well as beautiful bedroom and bathroom. While there is no restaurant, it is very handy to the Little Polynesian if you want fancy, or Charlie’s if you want very simple and down-to-earth. And Moana Sands next door is another option. But several we end up making our own meals and eating on our deck under the sun umbrella, because we just did not want to leave!

My husband and I spent 6 nights in this beautiful hotel. Everything was super clean, and you get a big basket of fruits and all you need for your first breakfast. Actually we got enough for almost our whole stay, we just bought bread towards the end of our stay. You even get 2 beers and a bottle of wine. One weekend we woke up to a baguette&pastries on our balcony table :) very nice touch. Parking is available if you have a car. Otherwise, it's possible to park just across the road. The staff is very nice and helpful, we had a request during our stay and they were very accommodating. The location is great, the rooms and grounds are beautifully designed and very well maintained. We would recommend this hotel a 100% . We had an amazing time and if we get the opportunity to go back to the island, we'd definitely book again here.

From the moment we arrived we felt like we were in paradise Alex and Tim were so friendly nothing was a bother for them. We had time to rest after our flights in our beautiful premium villa which was very quiet and private. Our villa was just like home the bed and pillows were Devine the decor was clean fresh with a tropical vibe. Room service was impeccable and all the staff were very friendly. Loved our morning paper delivery and our fresh hibiscus for our foot bath(lovely little touches). The view was beautiful so relaxing and calming the gardens so pretty and well maintained. We swam most days out the front of our villa the weather was warm with a breeze. We walked along the beach most nights to dinner. Motu offers everything from the ocean to the beautiful pool, daily cleaning, pool side honesty bar. E bikes for exploring great restaurants within walking distance along the beach or road. Buses were always good and fun. Alex and Tim will help with whatever you need. All the local restaurants were amazing. I would go back tomorrow. We’ve just returned from seven magical days at Motu Art Villas. The villas are modern, spotless and perfectly equipped with everything you need for a most luxurious stay. The view from the villa and its private deck was sublime. We think Motu is position on the most beautiful beach in Rarotonga. Just steps from the lagoon, we spent our days lazing on our private deck, snorkeling, kayaking, stand up paddling and soaking in the beautiful lagoon. You can do all these things no matter what the tide which is not always true at other locations. The resort pool is lovely, with an amazing honestly bar, it’s sheltered from the wind if necessary, but we didn’t spend much time there as the lagoon is so inviting. Did I mention the view!! On arrival we were very grateful to receive an initial supply of goodies, eggs, bread, butter, cheese, biscuits, milk, beautiful fresh fruit, bubbles and beer. With a full sized fridge and hob for cooking as well as a bbq in the pool area, it’s very easy to self cater, though a quick walk down the beach and you have excellent options for dining including Little Poly and Charlies both very different, these were two of our favourites. We hired a car which was great for exploring other areas of beautiful Rarotonga, Motu offer free e-bikes to get around the island. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff at Motu, a special mention to Mii for helping with restaurant bookings and recommendations. Seven days was not long enough, we will definitely be returning, but next time will book for longer. Please don’t change a thing!! Thank you Motu, Mii, Lucy, Alex and all the staff!!

OMG there aren't enough words in the dictionary to describe the perfection that is Motu. From the moment my daughter and I stepped into our Villa the "oh wows" flowed. The pristine, tastefully decorated, living, bedroom and incredible bathroom were superb. We had asked for twin beds, which was no trouble, and my arthritic back and neck had perfect sleep, thanks to the super comfy mattresses. They even had a pillow menu if needed. And that view!!!!!!! One that I will never forget. Then there was our deck, complete with lounges, table and umbrella. But wait, there's more. Under the deck was our very own stand up paddle board; a kyak; and - a clear kayak so you could see the fishes darting about the coral if you didn't snorkel. Oh yes, but if you DID snorkel, then masks and snorkels were also provided in our Villa. They covered everything. Including a coffee pod machine; multiple types of teabags; plunger coffee; sugar, milk and juice. Then we looked in the fridge. Beer, wine, 18 eggs, bread, butter, dip. Cheese, crackers, nut snacks, jam and honey. Tomatoes were in the huge bowl of local fruit on the dining table. The beach and safe lagoon were mere steps away (sigh) 6 days was definitely not enough. Lucile thoughtfully booked us into The Little Polynesian, another adults only resort which was a 10 minute stroll away for our 1st night. We ate there a lot for all 3 meals actually. I am a super fussy lady, with very high Libra standards. But I have absolutely NO hesitation in recommending this beautiful piece of paradise.
