New City Hotel

Very close to the transit line. Great price for the amount of space you get.

3 of us stayed in this room. The bed is large, clean and comfortable. Room and bathroom was clean too. I love that they have 4 chairs so that everyone has a chair to sit and rest. The tv is huge but there is a volume restriction so often its quite soft. Charging ports are well placed and we were facing the back of the hotel so it was quiet. The bathroom has a clawfoot bathtub which may be difficult for older ppl to get into. I do see some rooms on the listing that has the built in bathtub so one could request for that. Staff helped us make a reservation at a restaurant and recommended us things to do and eat too. There are free snacks and a microwave at the lobby together with 1 dryer and washer. Location is great with a bus stop a few steps away, food everywhere and convenience stores in the back. Metro is a 5 min walk. On sundays there is a morning market near the station

The location is great and within walking distance to the Shuanglian Metro station. Also, the staff is friendly and very approachable. However, there are some problems with the facilities of the hotel. Firstly, the hot water tap at the washing basin is faulty. The receptionist told us they had it fixed but the issue is not completely fixed, sometimes, the water is still cold even when we tried to set the temperature to a warmer one. This is bad because we went during the period when the weather is cold. Next, the facilities might not be in the best condition. One of the shower facility was not secured properly (see photo) and dropped when we tried to use it. Luckily, it did not hurt anyone and they had promptly fixed the issue. Also, the air-con has a remote control but we were told we cannot control the temperature at all since it is using a centralised cooling system, which defeats the point of having a remote control. This is bad because the weather is cold and the room is even colder, making it very uncomfortable. We had to switch on and off to manually tune the temperature. Lastly, the curtains are not able to block out the lights completely. Many times, we woke up due to the light from outside... As seen, the staff were friendly but the facilities are extremely poor. We are not really satisifed with the facilities from the hotel.

Convenient location, walking distance to MRT and Ningxia night market. Lobby is small but there's a corner for free coffee and snacks. Room is clean and bright with a large TV. As our room is just opposite the hospital, we tend to hear regular ambulance sirens. Another issue is the inner rims of the toilet bowl not properly cleaned, can see the poo stains🤪 Except for this, all looks okay.

The receptionists were very helpful with everything and they have free drinks and snacks at the lobby. The location is very convenient and accessible to the nearby station (3 minute walk). The room was small but it has the basic necessity. The only drawback of this hotel was the soundproofing, I can hear everything from the outside and the sound that our neighborhood the whole time.

Very conveniently located hotel. Small room, but good bedding. Large TV. Services are good, but not outstanding. The staff seems to be part time or interns, so don't expect to receive outstanding services like at a 5 starred hotel. Amenities and slippers are of cheap quality. Bathroom is a bit torn down but acceptable. Overall, it's a 3 star hotel. It's a good choice for just sleep and you will be out most of time. But if you are looking for a resort with most of the time will be spent onsite, this isn't the place.
