Very nice hotel, the hotel reception staff is professional and polite. The room is large enough and the breakfast may be great. This the first hotel we lived in Sydney. The location of the hotel is also very good for many important sightseeing places in Sydney. The only problem is the high room rate. Hope it can be improved later.

Tuve un viaje corto a Sydney el 24 de noviembre. Me alojé en el hotel Song. Un lugar muy fácil y conveniente. Un hotel agradable, limpio y en una buena ubicación y cerca de la estación de metro. El personal del hotel era servicial y amable. Tenía una habitación cómoda y una linda vista. El hotel está situado cerca del distrito comercial. Tuve un buen desayuno. La próxima vez que venga a Sydney, definitivamente me hospedaré en el hotel Song.

La habitación es muy espaciosa, el desayuno es muy rico, la ubicación es buena, la señora de la recepción es amable, reservar a través de Ctrip es más barato (aunque no se puede acumular GHA), en general el precio es muy bueno. Una cosa a tener en cuenta es que si desea preparar el desayuno para el día siguiente, debe solicitarlo antes de las 19 horas del mismo día. Preguntamos cuando regresamos al hotel casi a las 20 horas y nos dijeron. que ya era demasiado tarde y los chefs no estaban trabajando.

La habitación es muy espaciosa y tiene baño.
Porque es una ciudad, a menudo hay ruido en la mañana temprana. Durante unos 10 minutos temprano, el sonido de advertencia sigue saliendo y se detiene, y las personas que son sensibles al sueño deben ser cuidadosos. Estoy satisfecho! :))

My wife and I spent a weekend in Sydney and stayed at ibis barangoo
For the price that was asked for the king size bedroom that we stayed in facility, the absolute brilliant location and bend over backwards service from staff. I would highly recommend anybody to stay here especially if number one you’re on a budget and number two. You are looking for somewhere fairly priced and in probably the best location in the CBD.
We will be staying here again in the future as well as encouraging family and friends to do so

We stayed in the SoHo Suitesz room type. The room was large and well-furnished, especially the kitchen, which was very good. It had a gas stove, pots and pans, a dishwasher, a coffee maker, and a small refrigerator. The bed was big and comfortable, and there were Different pillow choices, the room is cleaned every day, you can watch YouTube on the TV, the location is also very good, 10 minutes walk from the supermarket, 10 minutes walk from Chinatown, 15 minutes walk from Darling Harbor, 10 minutes walk from Central Station, reception The staff is friendly and quiet at night. Recommended!!

La ubicación es realmente buena, no hay 5 minutos a pie de la atracción. Pero debido a que está cerca de la carretera, se sentirá ruidoso por la noche. El servicio es muy bueno y muy acogedor. El hotel es un poco viejo.

UUsuario invitadoI would I could vote 10 out of 5 for the customer service, because at Capella Sydney, the staff actually cares and treat you like an individual. Everything was simply perfect from start to finish. The rooms are clean, high tech and extremely spacious and could easily fit a family comfortably. The in room dining menu could do with a bit more variety, but the quality of the food was superb. All dining options on site are equally fantastic - must try is the the whole duck at the Brasserie and The Rocks cocktail at McRae Bar. Highly recommend Capella Sydney if you're looking for a beautiful, relaxing place away from the hustle and bustle.

JJenniferEstancia fantástica. Excelente zona para pasear, a la vuelta de la esquina del gran centro comercial y de la pista de patinaje sobre hielo. Acceso muy fácil a las afueras de Sídney y a la Universidad Macquarie. Buen desayuno y habitación amplia y encantadora.

UUsuario anónimoNuestra estancia en el YEHS Hotel de York Street tuvo aspectos positivos y negativos. La ubicación es fantástica, muy céntrica y cerca de todo, lo que la hace conveniente para explorar el CBD de Sídney. El personal fue amable y servicial, y las comodidades básicas proporcionadas fueron suficientes. Sin embargo, la decoración está pasada de moda y la habitación era pequeña y estrecha. La limpieza general también fue una gran decepción. El baño tenía olor a cloaca, la ducha no estaba limpia, había algunos azulejos rotos y la habitación en sí estaba sucia. A pesar de la excelente ubicación y el personal servicial, los problemas de limpieza y mantenimiento afectaron significativamente nuestra estadía.

JJasTalbHayI stayed at Meriton for 9 nights with my son in Oct 2022. The location is excellent, with the Townhall train station & light rail located within 2mins walk from the building. There is also a Woolworths next block. The major shopping district is within less than a minute walk / located at the next light rail station, QVB station.
One of my biggest pet peeve, are the lifts, there are 3 of them and they run from carpark levels all the way till the top floor which is probably in the 50s, we had to wait really long to take the lifts. Meriton apparently leases out their carpark lots too, hence the wait for the lifts is even longer during weekends when there’s a mix of the existing room guests, new guests checking in with their luggages as well as the people picking up their cars from the carpark. It’s just a hot mess.
Meriton should really consider segregating the lifts to serve different floors. And have the people who are picking up their cars, to use other lifts instead of main lobby lifts.
I like how the room is equipped with a Washer & dryer, was able to have clean set of clothings everyday. I couldn’t start the dryer, called for help and had to wait more than 30mins, the handyman only came after my second call.
Although I stayed at the property for 9 nights, the room-keeping was very basic , just a change of new set of towels, bed was made, disposal of rubbish and replenishment of condiments (like coffee, creamery and sugar) and bathing supplies. No vacuuming of floor or washing of the bathroom, hence the room is dusty and the bathroom especially the rubber tubings surrounding the glass door has mould too. Also, the frequency of house-keeping was inconsistent, initially was once every 3 days for first 6 days and then it became everyday.
In conclusion, it’s still an excellent place to stay because of strategic location but do manage your expectations when it’s comes to the upkeep of the rooms, the hotel lifts and level of services. By the way, when I was there, the hotel lobby was undergoing renovation, so hopefully the lift situations improve.

VVSingWhen I booked two Deluxe Family Rooms at Furama Darling Harbour for a 6-day stay with family, I had high hopes for comfort, convenience, and a pleasant experience. Here’s how it went.
Location: Convenient, but Parking Woes
The location of Furama Darling Harbour is undoubtedly one of its highlights. Nestled within walking distance of numerous restaurants offering cuisines from all over the globe, it was a food lover's dream. Finding the hotel wasn’t a challenge either, thanks to clear signage and central placement.
However, the parking situation? That’s another story. The hotel doesn’t have an on-site parking lot. Instead, we had to park about a five-minute walk away, which isn’t ideal when lugging bags or dealing with Sydney’s occasional drizzle. Plus, the cost added up—$244 AUD for six days. If parking convenience matters to you, it’s worth factoring this in.
Cleanliness: Mixed Experiences
Cleanliness was... average, to say the least. While the first day seemed fine, housekeeping didn’t exactly shine as the stay went on. On Day 2, we were surprised (and not in a good way) to find dirty towels left after the room was cleaned. Fast forward to Day 5, and we found toilet paper and stray hairs under the blanket after housekeeping had supposedly “refreshed” the space. Not exactly the five-star housekeeping you’d hope for.
To be fair, we didn’t raise the issue with reception that evening—it was our last night, and we figured housekeeping staff would already be off-duty. But, as a guest, you shouldn’t have to weigh these options.
Service: Quick and Friendly, But a Breakfast Mishap
Service at Furama Darling Harbour was a bright spot overall. The staff were warm, responsive, and accommodating, whether it was resolving issues with the TV or bringing up extra towels.
That said, we hit a snag with the included breakfast. Our booking clearly stated breakfast for four people per room, which should have covered eight of us across two rooms. Yet, when we went down, they claimed the booking only covered four breakfasts total. After some back-and-forth with both hotel staff and Trip’s customer service, the issue was resolved. But it wasn’t exactly a stress-free start to the day.
Facilities: Functional, But Nothing Fancy
The gym was basic but functional—a single machine covering major muscle groups, though no free weights were in sight. It’s fine if you’re just looking to get in a quick workout. The laundry room was handy, though a bit pricey: $5 AUD each to wash and dry, plus $3 AUD for detergent.
Breakfast, while initially enjoyable, became repetitive after two days. A buffet should ideally offer more variety, but here the options changed only slightly. Updating the in-room TVs to include smart features wouldn’t hurt either; it felt like the tech was stuck in the past.
Rooms: Spacious and Comfortable
Now, for the standout feature—the rooms. They were impressively spacious, with plenty of room for our luggage and still enough space to move around comfortably. The beds? Absolute heaven. I slept like a rock every night, with no noise disturbances or distractions.
The bathroom mirrored this sense of space, steering clear of that cramped, claustrophobic feeling that some hotels suffer from. It’s refreshing to stay somewhere that values comfort this much.
Final Thoughts: Worth a Stay, Despite Flaws
Would I recommend Furama Darling Harbour? Absolutely, especially for families. The spacious rooms, friendly service, and fantastic location make it a strong contender. Yes, cleanliness and parking could use improvement, but the positives—comfortable beds, quiet nights, and accommodating staff—outweigh the negatives.
If you can overlook a few quirks and minor inconveniences, Furama offers a good home base for exploring Sydney. Just be ready for some parking acrobatics and keep an eye on those housekeeping details!

También está cerca de la estación de tranvía y el hotel está cerca de Chinatown. No hay problema con la comida.
El desayuno del hotel es regular, cuesta 23 dólares australianos por persona.

I booked this room in 2 different booking (on 2 platforms) as there was changes to our flight schedule. And the booking was done under my mum’s name as leading guest, other 3 person as other guests.
When arrived at the hotel for check in, the staff insisted us to present the leading guest’s credit card/bank card for deposit, don’t allowed me to use my bank card for the deposit, or else they have the right to deny our check-in even I had explained that my mum didn’t bring her bank card as we are sponsoring her expenses in Australia, which I had also showed them the check-in coupon from the platform with full payment confirmation. They DO NOT ACCEPT other guests’s bank card/ credit card for the deposit even the names are shown in the booking confirmation voucher. At that time the attending staff has no intention to help us to resolve this issue but to ask us to settle ourselves in the booking App (which at this point the modification of the guest names are not allowed anymore in the App).
After almost 20min of struggle with the platform app which we still couldn’t resolve it and after some hard time and negotiation with the staff, finally he agreed to let us check-in using my bank card to pay for the deposit.
This is the first time I encounter such rule of insisting leading guest bank card for deposit ONLY, and do not accept other guest’s bank card for deposit payment. I hope the hotel can state this rule clearly in their introduction page to avoid similar circumstances happen again.
Generally it’s a good stay with good price for the location and the amenities of this hotel. Easily accessible with tram and train. Many attractions within walking distance.
