We arrived early Saturday Two Baldy fellers welcomed by Jack who sorted our parking straight away. He made us feel very welcome and did a great job of keeping us in the bar all afternoon. Our stay was great clean comfortable rooms. Then breakfast in the morning was very good we were served by Sami and Sammy they couldn’t do enough very nice your lucky to have staff like you have. All in all a great stay made even better by the staff and very good value for money Thank You

Came for a Sunday roast with my two little ones , got taken to my table and had amazing service and good conversation from a waitress called Brooke , it was a bit crowded but none the less overall enjoyable time and good quality food for the price

.. from Will which is always nice. The 2016 refurb mentioned in their website is obviously welcome though - and I am sure that the company itself will agree - needs to be done both to the general fabric of the rooms and the upstairs entrance ways. The room was clean & warm; the shower strong; towels of good quality; the bed comfy though the overall feel of the room furniture does need an upgrade / refresh. Still, its central positioning is a welcome bonus.

Great Drink selection, Polite staff, Clean & tidy venue, However very disappointed with the amount of money charged for Food (ie Hunters chicken & Burgers) and real cheese was not used. We used to enjoy the food here, Unfortunately We won't eat here again anytime soon .

The young bar staff all seem to work well together as a team - Jack, Hannah, Susie, Harry, Will and Darren. Always welcoming and cheerful. The beer (usually Tribute) is always kept in good condition and, as a member of Camra, I benefit from a small discount for each pint. This is now my "local" for a lunchtime break and can highly recommend it!

Dropped in for a drink and to watch some Saturday football!! Great selection of ales and drinks and tv screens everywhere you turned. Great atmosphere and service. Would have to say it wasn't the cheapest place to drink in swindon but would definitely recommend.

The pub had a cozy atmosphere with friendly staff and a great selection of drinks. They do great offers like burger and free drink. We went for a Sunday roast and the food was delicious and the prices were reasonable. Overall, a great spot for a casual day out with friends

We booked the side breakfast room area of The Goddards on Saturday afternoon for mum’s 80th birthday party and would like to say a huge thank you to Jack and all of the team behind the bar for making it such a wonderful event. The staff team couldn’t do enough for us, the buffet was really good quality, tasty wraps, sandwiches, quiche, sausage rolls, hot chips and plenty of it. The team let us in early to decorate the tables, sorted out car parking tickets for family members who’d had a long journey and kept the drinks flowing with very efficient service. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We would highly recommend the Goddards for a family gathering.

We were starving and we wanted to have a meal but it proved to be a mediocre place to eat. At 2 o clock the beef was run out so we had a pork chop and fish and chips. Even though we asked for a well done cooked meat it was not what we expected. The fish and chips very greesy and the sides just blant. We asked for some bread from the waitress and she said " of course" but we never got it so we left being puzzled whether she was not supposed to serve it or she just forgot it. Maybe we should have gone to the bar to order it but we were dead tired to bother. As a positive I would comment that it looked a clean place to eat and the boy at the bar was very attentive.
