Economy Inn

Coming home from Tennessee late last night and Tonya and I were both too tired to continue driving so we stoppedu in Sweetwater to get a room. The first Hotel we check with showed a rate of 57 a night, with tax it came to 65 so I go ahead and book it through *******... great, right???? We get to the place and I go inside to pay for the room and they are like that will be $65 PLUS we need a $50 deposit.....wait a minute, the website said nothing about a deposit. After going around and around with the clerk and speaking with the manager they inform me they won't book the room without a deposit so I tell them bye and take my business elsewhere. Fast forward......we found a room at the Economy Inn $80 out the door no deposits required so I take it. We head over to our room and enter it, the strong smell of cheap aftershave and baby powder hits us in the face. Next I turn on the lights not too bad I guess. I turn on the air to cool off the room and hopefully circulate the funky smelling air; it comes on and the air is cold so I'm satisfied for the moment. I plug up the cell phones to charge and then pull back the covers so we can exhaustedly fall into bed for a quick 5 hr sleep before getting back on the road. Wait what is that crawling on the covers!!!! I closely examin the critter crawling on the covers to make sure it's not a bed bug, no problem it's just a baby spider, I squish it and prepare to get into bed. Wait a minute there's another baby , no there's 2, no 3 now 4..... OK I've had enough. I look in the corner only to find a Black Widow spider with an egg sac. Nope Nope Nope !!!! I go tell them I want a clean room or my money back and am informed there are no refunds on weekend rentals so I take a new room reluctantly. We open the door to the new room to be greeted by several dead crickets in the floor and the cover to the air conditioner falling off....just great!!!! The only thing positive about the room was the bathroom was clean and the shower had hot water and strong pressure.
