We traveled to Suzhou on the day there was a typhoon! Informed Xiao Gu that we were at the road junction and he came to the rescue with 2 giant size umbrellas (bracing the storm) and helped us with our luggage.
The room looks exactly like the picture. We were provided with 2 bottles of water and a fruit plate. You can also have Chinese tea while enjoying the canal view! All the amenities are very modern.
The hotel is surrounded by local shops so the prices of food, fruits, pastries and even souvenirs are really reasonable. Shantang Street is a few minutes walk away (tourist price though) and there are many photo spots on the way there.
Xiao Gu has been very helpful in many ways. Thank you for your hospitality. Highly recommended!

Had a wonderful stay at this hotel!
The staff was incredibly kind, extremely helpful and friendly throughout our stay. His warm attitude truly made a difference.
If I ever get the chance to visit again, I would definitely stay here without a second thought.

good location, silent sleep even though its near shantang street but its a 5mins walk so its really silent. provide fresh fruits every morning they even help us carry our luggage. their recommended foods also very delicious. recommended.

It’s a great experience staying here overall although we just stayed for a night. The staff here is so friendly and helpful, the cleanliness is excellent but the only thing is they provide only one disposable towel, would advise you to bring your own towel or get additional disposable towel for yourself.
I would come back for second time.

We really enjoyed our stay at Wanhe River View Inn! Even before checking in, we received plenty of information via WeChat on how to get there and about places to see and where to eat nearby. Location is super convenient, only a five minute walk to Shantang Street and a 10 minute bike ride towards Humble Administrator’s Garden/ Pingjiang Road. The room was so beautiful and clean and we absolutely loved the sitting area at the window! We didn’t book the room for the TV experience but loved the feature so much after all! Special Thanks to the nice guy at the reception who was so helpful every time we encountered him! From the warm welcome to bringing our luggage to the car when we left, customer service was outstanding!

Excellent.
Location is just next to a scenic area.
The room is amazing, complete with a cute tea set and inscence.
There is a terrace with a breathtaking view on the tiled roofs and city wall.
The bed is comfortable and clean.
The owner is very kind and polite.
I actually decided to go to Suzhou from Shanghai just because of this hotel and it was totally worth it.

The River View Inn is picturesquely located directly on one of the many small canals in Suzhou. The room was surprisingly large (it looked smaller in the pictures), very clean, and modernly furnished. Even with the window open, you can sleep peacefully without any problems. Although I only stayed there for one night, I really enjoyed my time there and used the beautifully furnished room to take pictures. The fruit plate and snacks were also delicious. The location of the accommodation is also perfect for exploring the old town center of Suzhou and getting food in the evening in the many small streets. The man at the reception and the elderly couple were very helpful and friendly. I have no complaints and can only recommend this accommodation.

The location is inside the valley and surrounding with local residents. It is easy to go to 山塘街 和 七里山塘。The counter staffs are friendly and helpful.
