Red Roof Inn Harrisburg North

Clean, quiet, and lovely people. I arrived to discover that my request for a first floor room due to a handicap had not been forwarded from the booking site or I had booked this room. The manager was clearly distressed by this and immediately offered to help me with my luggage, the hotel was fully booked that night so he could not change rooms. He carried my luggage off the stairs and told me to call him in the morning so he could bring it down. He was very very sweet. The room was spacious, quiet and clean. Amenities were what you would expect for a budget motel. The beds were very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again. It’s the people that make it special.

The hotel is very clean and has recently been remodeled. It is family run with pride, and well managed I thought it was an exceptional value. It is so convenient to I 81 I I make it a stop every time we travel from Florida. I have to fill to 200 words.

Clean, quiet, great shower pressure, nice bed and soft pillows. Great price for traveling. And pet friendly!!!! Nothing but Red Roof from now on. Microwave and fridge included. Book ahead for best prices.

The room was clean, comfortable and well supplied. For once I was not comfortable walking on a hotel room floor in my bare feet, something I almost never do. We arrived late in the evening and there was someone at the desk who was friendly and knew how to do their job. In the morning I needed extra towels and was promptly provided with them. The manager was extremely friendly and had great things to say about his staff. It was a pleasure to hear him talk about them and to talk with him. When we pass through Harrisburg again we will definitely stay here.

Not expensive, but not fancy either. Clean. Not overlooking the interstate (a couple of streets back) and fairly quiet (on the Thursday night we went). We would definitely use this hotel again! Internet wifi worked well. At check-in they clearly told me that $1.50 would be added to our bill for the room safe and that they would refund it at check-out if we didn't use it, which we didn't, and they refunded it as stated. Kind of annoying but it was not hidden. We brought a small dog. There were ample green areas to walk him. Red Roof is great when traveling with pets. That said, the base of the bed frame had a couple of openings at the head of the bed. We knew our dog might try and get under the bed if there was thunder (which there wasn't), and it would be next to impossible to get him out, so we blocked the openings with the trash cans. Just want to remind folks to check this if you have a small pet.

This is the third or fourth stay at this particular hotel for our family vacation to Hershey. Every year we always search for the best prices per decent rating for hotels, and Red Roof Inn at Harrisburg North is always near the top of the list. The staff has always been courteous and friendly. The rooms have been clean, and the price fits our budget. Like any budget hotel, it's a little rough around the edges - paint needed in places. One of the doors leading up to the hallway didn't close properly (No safety issue involved, however). The beds did their job, the shower water was hot, and the TV worked, along with the microwave and refrigerator. So everything we needed met our satisfaction. One point to note, it seems the hotel also offers services to the less fortunate who are without homes, which is a nice service, and we never encountered any issue with the folks making the hotel their temporary home, but it did appear some of them did smoke in and around the hotel, even though it is not allowed in any rooms. We never confirmed this directly (as we tend not to pry into other's affairs or misfortunes), but is just a suspicion we had based on our observations. Again, it didn't affect our stay at all, but it is something that people should be aware of. Overall, the hotel has always met our needed budget and needs and most likely will be the one we continue to stay at every year.
