The Sunset Inn

This was the third time I have visited the Inn. The view over the marshes is outstanding. It is located within walking distance of the beach and pier. The atmosphere is laid back and very casual. Our hosts are very cordial and outgoing. Excellent rooms with pretty much all you need. The area around the Inn has a lot to do including Calabash. The breakfast was good. This is just a great place to go and unwind. Enjoy!

Sunset Beach has long been a favorite destination but I’ve always stayed in cottages. For a 2-night stay I thought I might end up in Myrtle but the Sunset Inn was just perfect! Clean, cozy room & lovely breakfast with freshly baked breads (banana nut / orange cranberry) I highly recommend!

Above and beyond the usual stay from anywhere else. Beautiful room that stayed cold, unlike most places. Spacious room multiple dressers, large bathroom. Nice screened in sitting patio, chairs out front as well. Hosts were very friendly and breakfast was charming. Highly recommend to any couple looking for a nice treat.

I could write paragraphs about the Sunset Inn; however, one word will suffice: excellent. Trip Advisor requires a minimum of 200 words, so I must write more. Clean rooms. Clean facility. Friendly, professional staff. Proximity to the beach is great.

The room was clean, roomy and had all the necessities; the view over the marsh from the wooden rocking chairs on the individual screened porch was spectacular--especially for bird-watching. Instructions were clear and precise, from reservation through checkout. The staff was friendly and efficient, while not being obtrusive. We especially enjoyed the wet bar adjacent to the fridge for preparing our evening gin and tonic. All of the equipment worked flawlessly. The shower was particularly nice and robust and the fluffy white towels pristine. The breakfast room was clean, airy and bright; trays were provided for carrying breakfast to the room, if desired. A fresh-baked breakfast bread (e.g. cranberry, cinnamon streusel), hot oatmeal, boiled eggs and a hot dish (e.g. spinach frittata with bacon) were available each morning--made on the premises--along with usual juice, coffee, yogurt cereal, etc. Excellent management and oversight were evident throughout our four-night stay; every light, plumbing fixture and electronic device worked as intended, showing careful attention to detail. As old and jaded travelers, we were very favorably impressed (and comfortable).

Wonderful accommodations!! Relaxed atmosphere; ease of parking; close to everything; beautiful views! Everything you need is thoughtfully provided. Great breakfast too. On our next trip to Sunset Beach we will definitely be staying there!
