Descripción del alojamiento
This cozy, park model cabin is nestled on Buck Creek Mountain right on a gorgeous creek. The rushing water of the creek, rock waterfalls, and lush mountainous terrain is an amazing getaway and is exactly what you'd want and look for with any mountain getaway to unwind, relax, and renew. When leaving the cabin if you turn left and go down Buck Creek Road, you are just 7 miles to Franklin. Take a right out of the cabin going up Buck Creek Road and you will be in Cashiers or the Highlands. All three of these desirable towns are just a short drive. You can also drive the scenic Cullasaja River Gorge to get to Cashiers and Highlands as well. Along the way be sure to stop at the Cullasaja Falls, Dry Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, and Glenville Lake. Other nearby attractions include gem mining at Jackson Hole, antiquing at the nearby Whistle Stop, and each town has shops and dining which you won't want to miss. There are plenty of attractions, restaurants, and local festivals/events in nearby Franklin and Highlands. Google the Discover Franklin, NC tourism, and Macon County Chamber of Commerce websites for attractions and festival/event schedules. Other desirable areas you won't want to miss: a 45-minute drive to Cherokee, Cherokee Casino, and the Smoky Mountains, a 90-minute drive to Asheville, a 60-minute drive to Murphy and so much more. This one bedroom cabin is fully furnished with a kitchen that is ready for cooking, a full dining room table on the lanai overlooks the creek, a coffee bar with barstools, living room inside the cabin has a full-size sofa which also turns into a queen-size sleeper, a huge Lanai which has a full living room set with a sofa and love seat chair, electric fireplace, and TV with DVD player and Roku, full bedroom with a queen-sized bed and plenty of wardrobe and dresser space for all of your personal items and a mounted TV with Roku, large stackable washer and dryer, and bathroom with full shower, ceiling fans are in the living room, lanai, and bedroom. There is a gas grill on the deck for grilling, gas fire pit, and an outside dining set with 4 chairs to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful view of the mountains and busy creek. No matter where you are in this cabin the rushing sounds of the creek can be heard and opening the windows allows you to enjoy the mountain air and the rushing creek to its fullest. The internet offers wireless wifi anywhere in the cabin. Most cellular service works in the cabin but may be spotty at times and we walk out to the driveway and our phone calls work perfectly. The TV is set up with Roku TV or you can access any other service it offers if you have an account (just be sure to log out when you are done). The DVD player in the living room allows you to watch any DVD you wish located in the fireplace entertainment center (both sides-packed with DVD's). Please return them where you found them. IMPORTANT: The driveway to get to the cabin is a little steep but is paved with asphalt so you should be fine coming and going (just go slow and you will be fine). You may need to use the leaf blower on the driveway and deck during the months of October and November. Loved the creek Pros: As soon as you arrive you see the creek. It’s breathtaking. We spent most of our time there. A special place. Peaceful and quiet. The inside is small but very quaint. We loved the decor. The sunroom is where we gathered and hung out for the most part. It stays cool and you can hear the water moving. It really is a nice place. My cons: The beds were absolutely terrible. We found a blow up bed in a cupboard. That helped, but for the other two it was pretty unpleasant. So that was a bummer. Also, it would have been nice if the spiders and cobwebs had been dealt with just a bit. I cleaned them up a bit but there was much more to get lol I really hate giving any cons since it was a sweet spot. Maybe update your beds. Especially for that price.

Highlands Cabin Lovely, well-appointed cabin on a flowing stream. Really enjoyed the secluded feel of being deep in the woods, yet only 15 to 30 minutes to central Highlands.

Creek Side Vacation at Cozy Cabin Our stay at the Cozy Cabin was absolutely fantastic. We truly enjoyed our stay. It was the perfect time to visit the area with the changing of the leaves and the cooler weather. The cabin was comfortable, and we thoroughly enjoyed sitting in the sunroom listening to the creek flow past. We had no issues and want to thank Tammy and Clint for renting the cabin to us! Highly recommend this location as a place to stay when visiting the Highlands!

Great Area to visit Loved the beautiful area between Franklin and Highlands. Lots to do and see. Not a cabin, our mistake, look at the pictures. Cute getaway for two people. Loved the coffee bar. So sorry, unable to use enclosed lanai (with the creek sounds) for a couple of days due to cold weather. Dehumidifiers do work but rather noisy. More than sufficient linens and kitchen appliances. As noted in description, Very Steep driveway.

Beautiful Area The cottage was clean and well appointed, in the woods next to a beautiful mountain creek. We were novices to this area and the drive in on Buck Creek Rd was a little intimidating. By the end of the week after exploring the area we understood that the winding mountain roads are a feature that enable residents and visitors to experience the phenomenal environment.

“Cool” week away We came from FL for cooler weather and it was. Cabin is charming and equipped with everything but a reading lamp or two in the big tv room. (Strictly for tv watching) Wonderful location but a very sharp turnoff to chokeberry rd and a very steep twisty descent to the cabin. (Actually had to backup and pull forward again on a rainy morning as my tires were spinning r-and I’ve driven mountains and snowy roads many times) Maybe there should be a larger sign at the turnoff to chokeberry rd? chokeberry rd so when you turn into or out traffic would be aware.
