Ufford Park Resort

Pros: quick check in, comfy bed, spacious room, friendly reception staff. Cons: room was a little tired and in need of a deep clean and a lick of paint. Breakfast was a bit underwhelming in terms of options. Room had a little patio however not a very inviting view!

It was a good hotel, great breakfast, good value and friendly staff. The fast that it has electric charging is a big plus!

A very foggy cold night after a busy day it was nice to be welcomed by a friendly and informative receptionist. One nights stay room with small balcony overlooking the golf course and an incredible heater. Water pressure in shower is low but water hot The rooms feel they would benefit from being updated a few niggles . *TV remote didn't turn TV off had to get up and pop hand behind set and turn off at socket. **The hair on the bath definitely not mine! **No obvious hairdryer. ***Room Service called twice extn not answered went via reception transferred to the bar salmon cream cheese on brown ordered arrived quickly unfortunately on white bread. Pink G&T delicious. Breakfast. Warm welcome and explanation offered from team. Great variety and the hot food was hot. **** The team brief at the bar perhaps could have been carried out elsewhere. Checkout painless.

Stayed with a 1 year old, requested a cot but was not provided a mattress. Asked for one but was told they don’t have any, just a folded up old duvet. Emailed and called the hotel to discuss but was ignored. A duvet is not a suitable sleeping surface for a baby as per multiple guidelines. Very worrying that they do not care about this.

I stayed here, with family members (four rooms in total), to attend a funeral in the area. I was given an "adapted" double room which turned out to be an accessible room, the nearest to the lift and to reception. I didn't make the booking, though, so this may have been down to what was booked by my family. There is plenty of parking, though it is shared with the golfers, so can get quite busy especially earlier in the day. We were staying during a heatwave and it was good to be able to park in the shade of the tall trees. Checkin was quick and straightforward. The hotel is a bit of a warren with lots of long corridors and some very trippy 70s style carpets. My room was very clean, but I was disappointed to find that, for a four star hotel, there was no air conditioning and although I did discover a fan in the wardrobe, it had not been put out and turned on in advance of my arrival. There was a lovely little balcony with french doors which had been opened up, however, which was nice, and I had a beautiful view over the green. The room itself was furnished pleasantly, though some aspects were a bit dated there was a mini fridge and USB sockets which were very handy. The bed was very comfy, with good quality bedding and pillows. The bathroom was fully accessible and very clean. The info sheets in the room were a bit out of date, particularly as regards wifi - I phoned reception to ask for the password before realising there was a sticker on the wall, but this wasn't the same as what was in the paperwork. There was room service available, but it was very limited compared to the restaurant menu, and while I'd planned to make use of room service my first evening, I chose to get a few bits and pieces from the local Waitrose instead! Despite my booking saying "breakfast in bed" as part of the room rate, there was no obvious option to order room service breakfast other than some kind of "takeaway" option which you had to request at reception. I knew I had access to the swimming pool and jacuzzi but was intrigued to learn I could also access a spa "Thermal Suite" so called them from my room. The cost was £25 per day to access the thermal suite which was very reasonable for the beautiful, peaceful, quiet time I spent there. The receptionist was absolutely lovely and welcomed me very warmly, bringing me some chilled water and a nutritional shot while I filled out the paperwork, and also brought me a robe (I wish there were plus size options!), towel, flip flops and mineral salts for the foot spa. I wasn't expecting such a lovely welcome for the price I paid. There was only one other couple in the spa area when I went in, and after a while they left meaning I had the spa to myself - a hydrotherapy pool with plenty of features, a sauna, two steam rooms (one aromatherapy, one mineral/crystal), two experience showers, an ice fountain, a foot spa and a dark relaxation room. Booked this hotel with a super escape voucher. We booked D B&B for 2 nights Easy welcoming check in Room was amazing given a premier room overlooking the golf course, we are not golfers but the grounds and course gave a lovely outlook Buffet Breakfast standard to what you expect from larger hotels with a few extras available to order Two evening meals lots of choice and very well presented nothing we could fault at all I received a courtesy call 2 days prior to arrival saying the pool was closed but could use the therma pool,sauna etc,a little disappointed as when went to use that was also closed All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful in particular the bar/ waiting staff on Friday 21st& Saturday 22nd June We will be back hopefully

We absolutely enjoyed our stay ☺️ everyone was so friendly and helpful,I would love to thank the beautiful waitress,Manager and Mark the lifeguard for making sure my friend and I were able to take the photos we needed for our last night at the location. Everything was so aesthetically pleasing We will definitely come again soon

Really enjoyed our stay haven’t been for a long time ! The Spa treatment with Kieran was absolutely! The driftaway massage ! He’s an absolute star and knows a lot about what he is doing ! Best massage ever!! We will be back again next year for sure !
