During our one-night stay, we were accommodated in a premium room located in an annex approximately 25 yards from the main hotel entrance. Regrettably, this information was not disclosed during the booking process, resulting in an unexpected situation. Fortunately, the weather conditions were favorable during our evening meal and breakfast, preventing any inconvenience. The room itself was satisfactory, featuring a suite with a separate living room and bedroom. However, upon arrival, we encountered an issue with the heating system, which was not turned on. We promptly contacted the reception for assistance, and they provided instructions on how to adjust the radiator valves. Nevertheless, it took over an hour for the room to reach a comfortable temperature. Furthermore, there were several maintenance issues in the bathroom. The Venetian blinds were rusty and in need of repair, the toilet cistern had a broken corner, and the vinyl floor covering near the sink was split. Additionally, the chrome kettle in the bedroom, while clean on the outside, had not been properly cleaned on the inside. Cobwebs were also observed in various areas of the room. Lastly, we had to contact the reception to obtain the Wi-Fi code, as it was not provided during check-in or displayed in the room. We had a good meal in the lovely dining room which was spoilt by the music which was 70s pop records including Sugar Sugar!!! Breakfast was excellent.

The views and general ambience were lovely. The sandwiches and scones (including the vegan one, what a treat!) were delicious but the cakes were not that special for the price. We had to ask twice for the extra sandwiches we’d pre-ordered and they eventually turned up when we’d almost finished. The staff were friendly but we were not overly impressed by the service. Beautiful setting though.

We had a lovely stay at this gorgeous boutique hotel. Stylish rooms, comfortable beds, great surroundings. The food was excellent, fabulous dining room, more a visual feast than one for hungry guests. The treacle bread brought to our table was so good our friends asked for the recipe. Better still the server said they had arranged for us to take a loaf with us the following day. We assumed it was complimentary as there was no mention of cost. We were surprised to see a £5 charge on our bill. Prior to our stay the hotel confirmed the food allowance in an email. We often book through Secret Escapes and try to keep within the food allowance. On leaving we queried the supplementary costs as they were higher than expected. The person on reception was too busy to deal with our query and said the bill had been split with our friends, which we never requested, leaving us to sort it out with our friends. The lack of clarity took the edge of what could have been a 5 star experience.

We stayed for four nights in this beautiful hotel to celebrate my birthday. From the moment we arrived, we knew it was going to be a memorable experience with such a warm welcome from Wendy at reception. We booked one of the top notch rooms with a four poster bed and spa bath for a luxurious stay. We also had a lovely view of the gardens from our window. Starting the day with a delicious breakfast was made even more special by the amazing service from Oana. She was such a delight and, if we could, we would have taken her home with us! We couldn't fault the fine dining experience at dinner in the restaurant. Everyone was so attentive, we couldn't have asked for better service. The plating was exquisite and the courses very worthy of the two rosette rating for the restaurant. One of the nice touches was returning to the hotel after a day exploring The Cotswolds and Candida, Sheelagh or Wendy being genuinely interested to hear about our day. In fact, this is something that we noted during the whole of our stay - noone was ever too busy to chat. Although we only stayed four nights, we felt we were a part of the family. Thank you to everyone for making our stay unforgettable and we hope to return again.

Another wonderfully relaxing, indulgent stay at this gem of a hotel where the staff are warm, friendly and extremely helpful. The rooms are tastefully decorated the open fires are welcoming and the food never fails to impress. Thank you Burleigh Court.. see you soon.

Amazing stay at Burleigh Court, highly recommend! Fabulous customer service from Wendy who we dealt with over the phone to book and was very helpful to the lovely lady who was on duty over the weekend to check in guests. She was very friendly and welcoming and kindly gave us a free upgrade from a Cosy room in the annexe to a fabulous Splendid room with valley view in the main house. All the staff were lovely but a very special mention the to the charming French lady on breakfast service who was absolutely fantastic and looked after us impeccably. The food was incredible throughout, dinner was amazing (and everything we wanted was covered by the allowance on the DB&B package) and the breakfast was fabulous. The food is all locally sourced, especially enjoyed the honey from the Burleigh Court hives! Everything was presented beautifully, it really was 5 star dining. We stay in the Cotswolds regularly and we'll be sure to return to Burleigh Court in the summer for a different but I'm sure equally enjoyable vibe. Thank you to all for an amazing first visit - we'll be back!

We stayed for three nights to celebrate our Ruby wedding anniversary. So pleased we chose Burleigh Court. We had a lovely room, comfortable bed and amazing views. The hotel does need attention here and there, ie cistern lid was broken, carpets looking tired in upstairs corridors. The pool area is lovely but it would look amazing if the paved areas were professionally pressure washed. There were a group of guests staying who were holding seminars we believe in a booked room. No issue with that of course. However, at breakfast when we were listening to some lovely classic background music, they decided to play some loud ‘pumping’ music on a laptop for some considerable time. This was totally unacceptable and disrespectful towards other diners and should not be allowed. We did move further away but we were still in the same room. BUT, the staff are lovely, the food is DIVINE, the views are stunning. Would go back in an instant.

A truly perfect afternoon tea, lovely atmosphere, tasty food and impeccable service. We will be back! From the minute we arrived we were greeted by friendly staff and our every needs were met throughout our afternoon. There were great views and a lovely festive feel to the venue.

It’s a good country house hotel but falls short of 5* for a few reasons. First, nobody offered to carry our bags … to the second floor. Also the bar and restaurant prices are high. For example, £9.50 for a single shot of a standard gin plus another £3.80 for the 100ml mixer. And the barman’s casual “a double” which would have made it a £22 drink. That’s gouging. Dinner was good, portions on the small side. Breakfast - especially the service - truly excellent. We tried an English wine, which was disappointing. In terms of location, the hill down to the village is steep and the road is unlit, so walking isn’t sensible.
