Room heating didn't work. 2 beds, but only 1 duvet supplied. After trudge to front desk, receptionist switched on the heating, but could not / would not offer upgrade to 2nd duvet (would have happily paid), so one of us froze half the night. Restaurant area tired - linings ripped and hanging down under many chairs, some of which padly patched or worn, dirty carpets etc. Breakfast was good but quality of evening meals frankly horrific. Hard to imagine less appetizing food for the money. Service was terrible - showed us to table and then no one came to take a drinks order. 20 mins before anyone asked for food order. Restaurant was quiet - next family who came in sat wondering why no one came, actually came over and asked us how you get served. Having just experienced the food we said to be careful what you wish for....Room was clean and beds and bathroom good. It's a hotel that basically could do with some love and staff who care. Shame, not the Premier Inn we remember.
