Bear Mountain Inn

I recently stayed at Bear Mountain Inn and overall, it was a comfortable and relaxing experience. The location within the state park is beautiful and serene—perfect for a nature getaway. The room was clean and cozy, and the historic charm of the property added to the appeal. However, I was disappointed by the lack of transparency around their advertised 15% direct booking discount. I booked directly through their website expecting the discount, as prominently publicized, but it was never applied. When I inquired, staff seemed confused and simply said the system wasn’t accepting it. There was no further explanation or resolution offered. A clearer policy and better communication from the front desk would have made the experience much smoother. Still, it’s a lovely spot for a weekend retreat—just double-check your booking details if you’re expecting promotional offers.

I would come back again. The restaurant could improve their menu's and/or prices. The stay overall was great.
