Hampton Inn Atlanta-Stockbridge

Whitney at check-in was so friendly. I had many questions, but she was pleasant and willing to answer them. We booked the day before and on the day of check-in, received a phone call letting us know the elevators were not working. I agreed, that going on the 3rd floor was ok. Check-in was simple and easy. There is construction on the 2nd floor as well. The only rooms available are on the 1st and 3rd floors. Not a problem, I got a good workout in during the weekend going up and down the steps. Rooms can stand an upgrade (furniture, bedding, etc). Everything was clean in the room. Pillows are softer than I'd like but comfortable enough to get a good night's sleep. The carpet in the hallway and stairwell needs to be lifted and replaced along with the carpet in the bedrooms. Plenty of parking- but beware, while I was there, there was a break-in on one car. There are plenty of places nearby to eat and a few shops up the street, with the Tanger Outlet a few miles away.

The room, lobby and breakfast area were clean and well stocked. Staff were friendly and helpful. They offered “sack breakfast” for guests who have to leave before or after serving time. I will definitely stay here again the opportunity arises.

Stayed at this Hampton Inn on way to Alabama.. pool was closed although inside hotel . Shower drain broke , along with handicap shower head. Looks fresh on the outside , but is worn and dated on the inside . Hallways were stuffy and HOT ! Breakfast Bar was not good .. 2nd time this week traveling and staying at Hampton.. they need to up their game . Staff was friendly.. just don't have a newer facility. I'm a Honors member and stayed at 2 Hampton Inns during this trip. Both of them failed to meet up to Hilton standards.. I think Hilton is pushing Hampton as a moderate chain and focusing more on their new TRU Hotel chain

I stay at many Hampton Inn’s and this was a big disappointment! The staff were great but the facilities left a lot to be desired. The outside of the hotel has been renovated and landscaped, my expectations were high. Once we entered, I was presented with a very tired and worn accommodation. Basic maintenance has not been performed here for quite some time. Avoid this Hampton until the renovations inside are completed.

The hotel is older, but my room was clean and comfortable. The front desk representative, Akeiba, was fantastic! I was here on business and had a very time-sensitive project due; unfortunately, I was having trouble with the Wi-Fi. Akeiba went above and beyond to make sure I could log into the system and called my room to verify I could get online and that everything was working appropriately. Excellent customer service skills!

We only stay at Hilton properties and I don’t like writing bad reviews but this Hilton property needs a major overhaul. The first room we went to we opened the door and the strong smell of cigarette smoke was detected as well as an ash tray on the counter. We immediately went to the desk and was helped by the nicest sweetest clerk. She was tremendous. She gave us another room, an upgrade, with a whirlpool tub. It was the last room on the first floor that was available. Although we stayed the night in this room, the more we examined it the more was broken or in need of repair. The outside of the hotel looks newer and inviting. The inside shows the lack of care or in ill repair. Carpet was torn and frayed. The outside of the hot tub was all cracked with glue and caulk holding it together. I’m surprised they didn’t use duct tape. The glass shower door frame was in place but the shower door was missing. They hung a shower curtain where the door used to be. I could go on and on, but already wasted to much time venting on what a disappointed this Hampton Inn was.

Older Hampton very clean and well maintained. Friendly staff. Remodeled bathroom. Breakfast area items well presented and in a sanitary manner. Good selection for small space. Staff very good at checking on area and keepong it neat and clean. Also liked that business area actually had computers!

The desk clerks were friendly and helpful on the phone and at arrival. We could not get a digital room key through the Hilton app and had to stop at the desk for room keys. Room was clean and contained the necessities. Bed was comfortable. It was a quiet location for an overnight stay. Breakfast was good with a variety of choices: make-your-own waffles, hot oatmeal porridge, cheese omelettes, sliced sausages and potato chunks. Cold foods included muffins, breads, yogurt, and fruit. There was cream cheese, peanut butter and jam for the toast but no butter. I heard others ask for butter for their potatoes but we were informed they didn’t have any. Check out was easy as cards could be dropped at the desk. There was a coffee station available in the lobby area. Easy off-on the interstate.

The hotel is in a good location near many restaurants. The health club was in very good shape, and overall the staff is friendly. However, I agree with other guest reviews on this hotel. It is apparent it is in desperate need of a facelift. Hotel employees and administration need to pay more attention to detail as well. My husband and I were upgraded to a suite and it was a huge disappointment. The door to the room looked as if it had various things taped to it over the years and it was just a mess. You wouldn’t want to have that door in your own house. It had a Jacuzzi tub and my husband had to fiddle with the stopper to make it operational. As I was filling it with water, the water became more and more sudsy. Do they just spray the tub and not wipe it down? Was it clean from the last time it was used by a guest? The water did not look appealing and we just drained it. The wallpaper is buckling and repairs are clumsily done. There is a bench in the bedroom which had huge stains on it and looked as if it was upholstered in the 1980s. To me, this would have been an easy fix of replacing that small piece of fabric! When we made the hotel aware of these problems, she did not offer any points on the Diamond account. The furniture style and quality is reminiscent of what you would see in an economy motel. For a Hampton property, this is really not up to par. As other people have stated in their reviews, they are concerned about the condition of the hotel. There seems to be no firm answer from management as to when it will change, only promises. If we stay in this area again, I would look for accommodations elsewhere.
