Sleep Suite Motel

We had a comfortable stay and the staff is the sweetest ever! Convenient location close to restaurants and grocery stores without being a busy street. Great value.

My wife and I stayed 2 nights, checking in before 2PM. The friendly receptionist processed my payment while I filled out an entry form, then received the key cards. Interior room #133 was wood floored, clean and spacious with a comfortable queen, table with 2 chairs, easy chair, closet bar, medium sized refrigerator, micro, small coffee maker and opening window with a lawn view. The bathroom had a tub/shower with soap and shampoo. The small TV had a satellite guide(BBC, CBC, CTV, Global, USA networks, MSNBC, PBS & many more channels). Good open wifi, ample outlets, good lighting and below-window AC/heat, along with a quiet night’s sleep. The 5:30AM lobby breakfast was serviced and complete; OJ, fruit, cereals, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, muffins, waffles, toast and regular coffee. Overall, we enjoyed our room.

The room was supposed to be for handicapped and didn't have a walk in shower and not a comfortable chair to sit in and the prices went up considerably. The tub can be cut out for a walk in shower ,I have it ar home.

I was enroute to the Pembina Valley and stayed here for one night because of predicted poor weather conditions in that area. I found this motel on TripAdvisor and called to learn they had rooms. I was offered an excellent rate of less than $95 + tax that included a 10% CAA discount. The agent was Ben who was very pleasant and helpful. On my first phone call he said he was checking in a few guests and could he call back. I agreed but was skeptical because I've had other hotels say that and not call back. As promised, Ben returned my call 10 minutes later and I booked a room. On arrival, the check in process was very easy. I had a special need regarding parking. I was towing a trailer and Ben said it was no problem parking sideways in parking spaces along the edge of the lot. That helped a lot. The room was very nice although one could tell it was slowly becoming tired and would likely need a refresh within two years. The room included a very comfortable Queen bed, microwave, refrigerator and TV. My only criticism is the poor lighting. The ceiling light over the table was a very low wattage CFL that did not provide enough light to work at the table. The room had a really cool table lamp next to the table that had touch on/off, AC power outlet and USB outlet. I contacted Ben and asked if I could get a second lamp for the desk so that I had enough light. Within 10 minutes he was at my room with an additional desk light. Overall the room was really clean and comfortable. In the morning they offered free breakfast from 5:30a to 10:00a. I slept in and went to the breakfast room at 9:30a. I had it to myself so there was no waiting. The only issue was that things like breads were almost out of stock because other guests had been through. I noted they didn't have bagels. They also "cheaped out" on the waffles by offering pre-cooked waffles to put in the toaster rather than having a waffle griddle. The check out process was equally easy and efficient. I was assisted by Marie, the motel manager, who printed the invoice and sent me a PDF by email. Finally, the motel is in a great location just a block from Highway 12, the main north south road through the city. Across the road is a Smitty's restaurant also owned by the motel owners and within 4 blocks are the Walmart and a Tim Horton's. Overall I had a comfortable stay at this economy motel and will gladly patronize again.

Sleep Suite Motel in Steinbach is a very basic, not clean and pretty uncomfortable motel. The room I had was spacious, but the table and its two chairs were dirty. The same to the refridgerator. Bathroom needs maintenance / renovation. The breakfast was typical North American with fatty, sweet and salty stuff only. Horrible! Personnel was basic polite but not friendly. The parking lot is large, but a man who appeared out of nowhere tried to steal my luggage while unloading my SUV. The area doesn't seem very safe.

The room was exactly as advertised. The receptionist was so helpful and nice! It’s in a very beautiful area and I will stay again! Don’t hesitate to stay here if you’re on your way to Winnipeg as it’s not out of the way and it’s a quaint little town to visit!

We enjoyed the comfortable beds, the clean rooms and the friendly staff. It was a convenient location by a golf course, grocery store, liquor mart and shopping mall. They also have short term and long term rooms available.

Great place to stay, room was clean and comfortable. Really enjoyed the free breakfast and the coupons for Smitty's restaurant across the road. Love that it is within walking distance of some nice parks, a pool and the city golf course!

Great place to stay and awesome lounge right next door at Smitty’s, We will be back and had made some nice upgrades to rooms and board room, We were visiting family and perfect to stay in the heart of steinbach
