İsa Begov Hamam Hotel

The location is amazing! 4-6 min walk to almost everything you want to do in Sarajevo. Easy to find by car or foot. Easy for car to drop you off in front, Surprisingly quiet street given how convenient to everything. Inside the hotel is beautifully restored, Our suite was enormous and very comfortable. Breakfast was very good, with lots of small bowls of yummy things as well as made-to-order eggs. Interesting staying in a building with a Hamam and able to experience that, but wish there had been a co-ed time so my husband & I could go together. Fabulous having an option for a massage right there too! Nice that they can arrange rides from &/to the airport. Excellent staff and almost everyone spoke English. One staff member went a bit beyond the usual and confirmed their driver could accommodate our skis so we didn't have to depend on finding a large taxi. Only complaint, most rooms are on the first floor, so our room, like probably all rooms, had a privacy cover on the windows. We like being able to see out and enjoy the light too. Wish they had just provided curtains that allowed us to open during the day. Next time we'd ask for a room upstairs.

A very friendly welcome at the hotel from staff who were always prepared to help and advise. My ground floor room was tidy with some lovely furniture, but I did find it dark and the bathroom a little small. Breakfast was on the upper floor and was lovely with tables laid out individually. The key for me was the location, just a short walk across the river to the central area with its attractions and numerous eateries, or to the cable car.

I booked this based on the hamam and was pleasantly surprised by a few other things. Location is perfect (in between the old town and cable car, which you must do too..) Breakfast was lovely. The owner cooks it and you can see she wants her guests to be happy. Staff are super-friendly and helpful. Bakery next door and supermarket around the corner. (Hamam was great too - used it 3 times!!) Thanks all for a lovely stay.

Sadly TripAdvisor doesn't allow for more than 5 stars. Stayed here for seven nights and it was perfect. Good communications beforehand. Discussed payments and arrangement of transport from airport (who turned out to be our personal taxi a few more times). Warm welcome on arrival and the rooms and general ambience were delightful and in excellent condition. It's not a large hotel and the duty managers, who cover 24 hours between them, covered everything in a truly professional and friendly manner. They were also good for information and always prepared to give some time to help. The local style breakfast with eggs cooked to order provided a good introduction to the day. As with the front of house staff the breakfast room was consistently managed by an unchanging team to the same high standard every day. I used the hamman twice as this was included and although I didn't take up the massage or treatment options it provided a pleasant and totally relaxing experience. Again the staff here were friendly and helpful. It is rare to find such a fine team of people in a hotel which provides a personal touch and makes you feel an honoured guest. Definitely recommended.

Our flight was cancelled at 10.12pm and we had no option of getting to Sarajevo, we spoke with the hotel, forwarded proof that Wizz Air had cancelled our flight, yet instead of being understanding & knowing that we had no choice as was out of our hands, this hotel still charged us nearly £600 for a hotel we are NEVER going to visit. Theft is what the modern world would call this. Disgraceful and would not recommend
