«This hotel truly stands out, with friendly and helpful staff across the board—from the reception team to the driver and even the staff managing breakfast. The reception continued to keep us updated via messages, even after confirming our airport pickup while waiting for the driver. The two night-shift ladies staff went the extra mile by arranging early housekeeping so we could check in at 8am when a room became available after an early checkout. Our room was ready upon arrival.
The room itself was spotless, though items like hand wash, body wash, and toilet paper could have been better replenished. That said, it was sufficient for our one-night stay. The hotel also provides quality disposable slippers and bottled water. The bed and pillows were exceptionally comfortable, and thoughtful touches—like curtains that automatically close when the key card is inserted and motion-sensor lights that illuminate when you get out of bed in the dark—added to the experience.
The driver was consistently cheerful and helpful, and the breakfast staff on 28 April 2026 showed great dedication by waiting for me to finish, even though I arrived just five minutes before closing and declined any refills.
This hotel is a great choice for an overnight stay or if you have an early flight. A one-way car ride from the hotel to the city costs less than US$10, making it both convenient and affordable.

«真是物超所值的一次入住體驗，單身免費的接送機都值一半了，畢竟我是凌晨兩點半才下的飛機，下了飛機聯繫酒店接機，以為會等很久，但是沒想到十來分鐘就坐上車了，也不是那種拉很多人的大巴車，就是九座的商務車，而且也沒怎麼等人，拉着倆人就出發回酒店了，後面路上有了解到，他們家是自己接送，沒有外包給車隊，所以很靈活、很快。然後第二天還給免費送到了地鐵站，就真的很方便。酒店附近吃東西的地方也挺多的，價格也不貴。房間的裝修、衞生也很滿意（裝修風格可以看一下我拍的圖片），主要是超級安靜，因為沒有挨着馬路邊。如果不是趕時間，我都想多住個兩天再走，哈哈哈，下次來這邊還會選擇在這裏住，性價比太高了。»

Ben CubbageThis hotel is located right inside the Kunming Changshui airport. You have to go to Arrivals exit 5, then catch the elevator that runs from Floor 1 Arrivals to Floor 3 Departures. The hotel itself is at a small desk on Floor 2 between these floors.
The hotel is a good quality around a 4 star rating as for its room decorations and is the only official sleeping space actually inside the KMG airport. That said, the hotel wins big on convenience and I would recommend it highly if you have a layover of less than 12 hours. It is pretty hard to beat walking out of your room, pressing a button to go up one floor in an elevator, and being smack dab right in the middle of the airport check-in action. No shuttles, no taxis, no messing with drivers or maps.
But half of the rooms have no window (you can pay more for a window) and the rooms feel a bit stuffy as there is no fresh air. The hotel is also in a bit of an administrative purgatory floor that definitely lacks character. They have added some tan hotel carpet here but the Floor 2 Ji Hotel area definitely has a bit of “soulless” airport bureaucrat hallway feel. So you are definitely not getting the”wow factor” of a nice expansive hotel lobby. For that you will need to book another airport hotel that is 3-5km away and has a free airport shuttle.
So it just depends what you are looking for. If you are big into convenience and expediency in travel - this hotel is for you. If you are looking for a more classic hotel experience with breakfast, room service, a gym, etc. there are many great hotels in the area for $50-$70 USD per night that offer better amenities and fresher air.

¡Qué grata sorpresa resultó ser el hotel que elegí para mi viaje a Kunming! La habitación que había reservado originalmente daba a la calle y era bastante ruidosa, pero la recepción me cambió proactivamente a una superior, mucho más tranquila.
Desde la ventana de la habitación se veían los tejados de tejas azules de la antigua calle de Kunming. Al atardecer, el sol teñía las nubes de un cálido amarillo, y la mezcla de los rascacielos de la ciudad y los edificios antiguos creaba una vista pintoresca. Abrir la ventana era un regalo de romance exclusivo de la Ciudad de la Eterna Primavera.
La ubicación es inmejorable. Justo al salir, te encuentras en el distrito comercial de la calle antigua. La calle Cultural y la calle Huang Gong Dong están a poca distancia a pie. Se puede llegar fácilmente al lago Cuihu y a la Universidad de Yunnan. Es súper conveniente para probar auténtica cocina de Yunnan, ir al mercado nocturno, y no hay necesidad de andar con rodeos para ir a cualquier parte, ¡es una bendición para los perezosos! **A Home Away from Home in Kunming**
Our stay at this homestay in Kunming was truly exceptional. The room was a perfect blend of tradition and modernity, thoughtfully designed with minimalist accessories that perfectly matched our taste. Cozy and inviting, it offered a sense of warmth and comfort that made us feel at home instantly. The view of the lake from our window added a touch of magic to our mornings and evenings.
The location is simply ideal. Situated in a peaceful area just 100–200 meters from the Ethnic Yunnan Village Park (also known as the Ethnic Minority Nationalitys Park), it allowed us to easily explore this cultural gem during a day trip, an experience we highly recommend. At the same time, the homestay is surrounded by quiet shops and local markets, making it both convenient and serene.
What truly set this place apart was the outstanding hospitality. From the moment we arrived at the airport, the hosts went out of their way to assist us, even arranging a Didi taxi to ensure we reached the homestay smoothly. Their kindness didn’t stop there, they helped us purchase tickets for cultural attractions, found an English-speaking guide when our Mandarin wasn’t sufficient, and took care of countless other details that made our stay effortless.
A highlight of our experience was Miss Zhang’s traditional Yunnan tea ceremonies. These sessions were not only a delight for the senses but also a wonderful opportunity to learn about the unique qualities of Yunnan teas and the art of brewing them. The atmosphere was relaxed and intimate, often joined by the owners, which led to lively, hours-long conversations filled with laughter and stories. It was these moments that made us feel like we were among friends rather than guests.
We enjoyed our stay so much that we’ve already booked the same room for our return in a week. We can’t wait to be back in this haven of warmth, culture, and comfort.
Highly recommended for anyone seeking an authentic, memorable, and heartwarming experience in Kunming!
